I booked a block of rooms here for our touring ensemble, and though it was just a short overnight stay, it was easily one of the best stays we’ve had. The hotel was lovely, rooms were clean and comfortable, and Daniel and Marcy made certain we were very well taken care of from the moment we arrived to when we pulled back out on the road. Unparalleled customer service — couldn’t be happier with our stay!

Great place. Clean, quiet, and in great condition. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced for most things. They also have a deal with the gym next door that guests can work out for free. Highly recommend this place if you need somewhere to stay in Lubbock.

Very nice business travel type hotel. Rooms are nice, beds and linens comfy. Did not bring shower shoes and floor grout in shower looked mildewy in areas, so did not shower. Nice restaurant and bar area for a charge. Very friendly helpful bartender/server. Made coffee in room as there was a charge for breakfast. Lovely pool area with fountain. Would stay again.

This has been our go to hotel I. Lubbock but won’t be any longer the pool is closed forever there was nothing saying they had shut down the pool for good online or anywhere the front desk had to be asked. The shelf in the shower was broken and glued back together looked horrible the tub looked dingy and dirty the bathroom sink was cracked the tv didn’t work when we first arrived thankfully the bright spot was I believe Matt the front desk guy fixed it. They were doing a ball there so parking was ridiculous you couldn’t even leave the hotel or you wouldn’t get your spot back we unfortunately won’t be staying here again.

Booked this room due to the good reviews. Maybe we are a one off but definitely not worth the money. Windows have caked on dirt on the interior, I got to step in gum while getting into bed, the walls were jacked, stained carpet, the drain in the bathtub didn’t work, and the tv skipped so bad that my kids decided to huddle together and watch the shows on a phone instead of the tv… After calling the front desk I was told that there were no other rooms available and that the manager wasn’t picking up.

10min West of campus, near chain stores and restaurants. Stopped here on the way back from a road trip. Newer building but The walls are thin so we could hear people going in and out of their rooms, flushing the toilets. Rooms clean, bed a bit flat but sleepable. Front desk was helpful when asking to check in a little earlier.

Had a very pleasant stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Lubbock. When we arrived our room wasn't ready despite it being check in time, which was disappointing. However the front desk person (Matt) was very friendly, apologetic, and accommodating, it was ok. They have a nice little restaurant and bar where we sat and had a snack while we waited. Service there was quick and friendly. The room was nice, the lobby area comfortable and clean, and customer service very good overall. I also appreciated the location, where it is right off the highway, close to restaurants and The Main Event. Will stay there again!

My husband and I drove from Houston to Lubbock on a Saturday to attend a surprise birthday party for a friend. With Tech having a home game that weekend, hotel rooms were at a premium. It was also parent's weekend. We arrived at the hotel at 4 pm which would've given us time to relax for a minute before getting ready for the party that we had to be at by 5:45. When we went to check in, we were 'greeted' by a hotel employee who was seated in the glassed in foyer of the entrance. We were told there were no rooms available for check-in at that time. This is the hotel where the visiting football team was staying. The game was scheduled for 7 pm. Teams are not allowed to arrive at the stadium more than 2 hours in advance so the team just stayed in their rooms even though check-out time is 11:00 a.m. When we asked for an estimated time we might be able to check in, they had no idea. They asked us if we had called earlier in the day to put our name on a waitlist to check-in. Why would I even think to do that? We had a reservation!!! Along with all of the other guests who were not able to check in, we were directed to the hotel's indoor pool area to wait. We were welcome to use the 2 restrooms (1 men's/1 women's) to change clothes. Having no other choice, everyone just sucked it up and made it work. Our room became available about 5:30 - just as we were leaving for our party.||The 3 young girls who were left to deal with all of this mess couldn't have been nicer. They were professional but were not able to offer anything more than an apology. Management was nowhere in sight! The hotel has a contract to house all visiting teams and this has happened on two previous occasions. Unacceptable!!! There should be some kind of notification when you book your room that game day check in won't be available until after 5 pm. ||Other than the problem with check in, I would've given the hotel 4 more stars. Staff needs to be commended for doing the best they could after being thrown in to handle a difficult situation on their own.
