Baymont by Wyndham Lubbock - Downtown Civic Center

Dirty sheets and the room reeks so bad of cigarettes I can’t sleep comfortably. They had me sign a document affirming this was a non-smoking room and I better not get charged for this. They literally have an air freshener hanging on the AC unit. Toilet never stops running, shower floor looks like it has to get treated for mold once a month. 0/5 if I could do it. Room 274

I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with the condition of my room. The entire space was dusty, and the bathroom had a terrible sewage smell that made it unbearable to use. Couldn’t use the shower at all!!!! Originally I thought no one cleaned the shower and was mad af, but I was gonna clean it any ways. After cleaning it I let the bleach spray sit in the tub and went out for the day, after I came back to the room, I see there was the same dirt mess in the flooring of the tub. It wasn’t until I was brushing my teeth that I heard a loud gurgling noise and realized the water was coming back up from the drains into the shower. To make matters worse, the room reeked of smoke, which was very unpleasant. The most shocking part was the filthy linen; it was clear that the sheets and towels hadn't been properly cleaned. I had to go purchase 2 blankets one to lay on and one to cover up with as well as cover my face with due to the smell. Not to mention the easy basic things like the filthy walls. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend staying here.

Absolutely horrid!!! First room had light fixtures hanging out of the ceiling and reeked of smoke! So when we asked for a different room someone was already in it! And you could smell the smoke coming out when the occupant opened the door. The only good thing was the service. The front desk man was very nice and didn’t have any problem when we requested a refund. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

if i could give 0 stars i would. horrible area in town. there was a car on blocks in front of my room. entire place was disgusting. there is no such thing as a “non-smoking” room in this place. booking.com seriously needs to update their info/pictures. there were stains & rips on the bedding/chair, the towel rack was broken off of the wall, there was NO electricity anywhere except for the bathroom, bugs & dirt all over the bathroom floor. i’m still waiting on them to check their email & process my refund. 0/10 would not recommend even to my worst enemy

The first room we tried to stay in was filthy, trash and dirt caked on the floors in the bathroom. I'm pretty sure mouse droppings. It smelled strongly of smoke. The sheets were dirty. Empty toilet paper roll. The second room we went to was a little less dirty but had cockroaches. We asked for a refund and the man just wrote we didn't like the room as the reason. I don't even really see how it's still open. A shame it's a part of wyndham because every other experience I've had with a wyndham hotel was fine.

So dirty and smelly and disgusting. First room had trash everywhere. Second room was not cleaned and felt dirty staying. Bathroom smelled like smoke. Rest of room smelled gross. Chair had brown stain. Sheets had holes. Worst hotel ever stayed in.

If I could give less than a 1 star I would and if I could tolerate the cockroaches the size of mice, the smell of cigarettes, and the overall filth of the room I would have taken pictures. This place should be shut down. Pictures on the sites are from a different baymont, probably one just built. The ceiling had a hole in it above the tv from it leaking at one time, the walls had holes from it rotting away and filth throughout the entire room and bathroom. First room they gave us had garbage and beer cans in it so they gave us a different room and it was worse than the first. Don’t waste your money!! Straight ghetto!!

What a dump. The rooms are very old and in much need of renovation. 4 lights in the room with none of them having bulbs. Smells like a chain smoker lived there. Bugs in the bathroom. Thick cover was missing and the batteries are held in with someone’s underwear. Graffiti on the mirror and vanity top. The bathroom door is held on by one hung. The smoke detector was beeping/ low battery. The front desk person moved me to another room which was a little better but still not good. I went to Walmart and bought cleaning supplies and pillows (because the ones in the room were stained) and re cleaned the room and heavily Lysol’s the carpets and ac unit.
