Fantastic and clean rooms. Loved the kitchenette. Breakfast had good options- even oat milk for coffee! The service was exceptional. Friendly staff all around. Gave great recommendations and helped us retrieve important items we accidentally left behind. Would definitely stay here anytime we pass through Lubbock!

I don’t typically leave reviews like this, but I feel it’s important for both management and future guests to be aware of my recent experience. When I checked in on April 10th, I was warmly welcomed by a wonderful front desk associate (whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch). She was kind, helpful, and went out of her way to ensure my daughter and I had what we needed — she truly deserves recognition. Unfortunately, the rest of my stay was disappointing. Our room was generally fine, though there were some overlooked cleaning details — items left in the fridge, hair bands on the floor, and trash in the hallway. The larger concern arose the following morning. As I returned from breakfast with my hands full, I noticed a sign on the elevator instructing guests to ask the front desk for assistance. When I politely asked for help, I was met with an abrupt and loud response of, “I’m busy!” When I approached the desk to ask for the associate’s name, she responded with clear attitude and identified herself as “Maria.” Wanting to avoid further discomfort, I contacted Bonvoy to request a room transfer — not a refund — and was provided a case number. Bonvoy instructed me to notify the on-site manager or GM. When I returned to the desk, Maria informed me she was the GM and added, “Nothing is going to come of that.” Later, Bonvoy confirmed that Maria was not the GM, and that the actual GM (Ed) would be reaching out to me via email. However, when I checked for that follow-up, no email arrived. Upon reviewing my Bonvoy account, I discovered that Maria had changed my email address in the system — preventing any communication from reaching me. Further, Bonvoy informed me that Maria closed the case against herself, despite not being in a management position. The dishonesty, unprofessional behavior, and deliberate tampering with my account information were deeply concerning. I sincerely hope Marriott management takes this situation seriously and ensures that no future guest has to experience the dishonesty and unprofessional conduct I encountered.

I had been enjoying my stays here and felt welcomed as an elite Bonvoy traveler but the last stay they wouldn’t even provide a bottle of water. Seems a little off brand for Marriott and other Residence Inns I have stayed at even in the last month. I don’t like feeling unwelcome and had overlooked the dirtiness of a couple of rooms I have had here in the past because the front staff was pleasant but now the stingy attitude has me rethinking staying here again. There are other Marriott properties in town that are more welcoming where I can take my business.

Michael provided excellent customer service to ensure we had a very pleasant stay. The rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast and coffee are a great start to the day.

Cecilia and the Residence Inn Staff have been amazing on each of our stays at the hotel. Always cheerful and willingly go above and beyond to make sure we have everything we need. I can’t recommend them enough if you need a hotel near TX Tech. Great team and great hotel. Thank you!!

I booked a king suite, but was moved to a king studio because the hotel was overbooked. I only chose to stay in this hotel to have a suite, as I was traveling for school with an infant. The staff was able to move me into the room I originally booked the following night, but never changed my bill to reflect the lower price room I stayed in the first night. Front desk staff/manager was also very rude trying to usher my three month old baby, husband, and I from the old room to the new room; it is not my fault you overbooked your hotel. Prior to leaving the hotel, I noted three separate times to staff that my billing was inaccurate, nothing was done. Empty promises of points/discounts/refunds. I have been in contact with their manager who gave apologies, but no actions to support his words. I am still waiting to receive compensation, as I overpaid for this stay. Service is terrible. There was little compassion toward my situation with an infant. Location is great, breakfast was okay, rooms are nice if you get what you requested/paid for.

We had an overall good stay, staff was definitely nice. Who I presume was the housekeeping manager, greeted us at breakfast and asked how our stay was. That was a nice touch. Would have been nice to have been acknowledged while waiting in the long lines at the desk though. Even a simple, “ I’ll be right with you” goes a long way. Also, our room was not inspected before it was assigned to us. Lots of hair on bathroom floor, counters not wiped off well, smudges on walls and light switches. Also, my son found a toothpick on the floor. Bed was pretty firm, and not the comfiest. I had wished I had brought my own pillow as well, the ones provided would fall very flat and it was very hard to sleep. The room was a good size though, and we appreciated the space. I would stay here again because the staff was nice and the location was superb.
