BUDGET INN

Came with my 2 body guards after learning the Texas Style way of apprendending a suspect. Decided to stay here because it’s affordable. Trying to decide where to go eat since there is a fugitive on the loose nearby.

Pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean, bathroom was clean. Roomy with a large flat screen. The bed was comfortable. The heater worked great and kept the room warm. It is close to the highway and train tracks so you get that noise, but all lodging in Memphis is close to the highway and tracks. It is an old building, do not expect Hilton Garden Inn. Staff was a little hard to understand. Overall not a bad place.

The room was tidy, if small and the staff was friendly. We paid $75 a day, and ended up having to clean up a good portion of it. As a former housekeeper I know what a clean room should look like. We had to clean dust off the shelves, gunk off the doorknobs and lightswitches and sticky spots in the dresser drawers.

The rooms are clean and neat. The beds are not new and soft but they will allow you to get a good nights rest. The owner was nice. The showers are updated and the tv’s are pretty big. For a night or two it will do.

The lady at the front desk didn't speak any English. The air in the room smelled stale and it felt very dirty. For $60 it indeed is budget but I wouldnt ever do this again.

Stopped here on my cross country trip and it was very affordable and the people that worked in the office were really nice. The only thing was the light in the bathroom didn’t work, which isnt that big of a deal in my opinion. It’s also next to a busy road but I’m a light sleeper and it didn’t wake me up! Very nice, I would come again.

~DO NOT SLEEP HERE~The room was dirty first of all, an I was charged $75!! I went to the front desk & the told the lady in the office right? Well she said she was the one who cleans the rooms & she was so rude about it, but I kindly told her I would show her but she wouldn’t come out so she just put me in the room next to it. That room was a little cleaner so my family an I went to sleep. The lady from the office came banging on my door at 8AM!!!!!! Yes!!!!! She literally woke us up!!! I told her we were traveling to Utah!! But she was screaming at me saying that other room is clean!! I just shut the door, packed our things & left. I slept on the side of the road for a while on the way!! I want my money back I was treated so badly for no reason!! DO NOT SLEEP HERE!!

Air conditioner did not cool off the room, when adjusted it blew hot air. Soap from previous guest was still in the shower so no shower was taken. If you just need a quick rest it's OK. Don't recommend long stays only over night.
