Travelodge by Wyndham New Braunfels

This place was great! For the price. It was clean. Not in a scary area or bad place in town. I love the ceiling and we even had a balcony, Fridge and microwave. I didn’t see one bug. It smelled a little like cigarettes but that doesn’t really bother me. Great burger place next door! Soda machine down stairs.

Better then expected...The beds are clean and very comfortable the room was very tidy. The prices are on the cheaper side for this area ...the staff is here to do their job (less is best) and that is what they do. In and out service, no nonsense!

The room we stayed it in reeked of cigarette odor, had roaches, a leaking restroom and was not clean. The roof was leaking and had stains of just being patched up. The rooms are outdated and you can hear everything including upstairs and outside. The couch inside the room was disgusting and very stained. Don’t stay here if you can help it.

The “Free Breakfast” only had two types of cold cereal with milk and one choice of coffee. I Suggest the management provide many more choices. Light sleepers should know that highway noise can be heard inside the second floor rooms of the main building.

I seen no bugs. It was clean, the room was already cool, everything worked, smelled fresh. I stay in more than average amount of discount motels and this one will be my go to when I'm in the area. Friendly older guy at night counter, decent cost, and Iwalked around in the carpet barefoot. It's not fancy, but a great experience for me to rest for work.

Definitely needs some work done and more attention to room details as far as cleaning and upgrading for the nightly rate that is being charged. Very dusty mold in the restroom and the smell most likely from the carpet needing replacement. Locks on the the door not heavy duty.

The staff was not helpful, rude and very combative. The breakfast consisted of milk, sitting out in a pitcher for however long and rotten orange juice in the dispenser. When I tried to contact the front desk, the hotel staff was 50% away from the front desk. If I could rate a negative number for the overall experience for this hotel, I, definitely, would.

I booked online and the pictures looked OK. We didn’t need anything fancy cause we’re literally just sleeping and moving on with our road trip so I figured it would be fine. It was not fine. The bedding was so stained that we brought in our own blankets and slept on top of it instead of in it. And not one of us was comfortable stepping barefoot in the shower. It was dirty enough that we’re probably going to have to hear ‘remember that gross hotel on that awesome road-trip’ stories on and off for the rest of our lives.
