Super 8 by Wyndham Odessa TX

Rooms were clean but keep in mind working crews stay here and may not take the best care of their rooms with oily boots and work smells. However Super 8’s never fail me when traveling. The lady at the front at night on 2/28 was amazing. She multi task taken care of guest, very polite and courteous, she gave the best customer service I’ve received in a long time. Hope they appreciate how hard she works to take care of every guest, she was very patient and I’m a picky guest. Pool was fine too not shut down

3.5 stars is the number. Nice as far as Super 8’s go. Great for a quick overnight work stop. Think I ended up in a smoking room which isn’t my favorite. Overall, average. Nothing special.

I called the hotel before I rented the room and I asked if they had washer and dryer and is there a hot tub working and they said yes I’m taking my three children to the hotel room to swim and to do laundry when I get to the hotel room we go swimming one time in the hot tub and then they drain it within 20 minutes and leave the pump running and we can no longer swim. Just the whole reason I went to the hotel in the first place Then my microwave didn’t work then there’s blood on the ceiling and walls and then the waffle maker in the morning didn’t work. I got to this place when I first started going there it was It has really gone downhill service is bad too.

The room and lobby were clean thanks to a dutiful cleaning staff. However, I only book rooms at hotels with fully functioning hot tubs in the winter and pools in the summer. We always call ahead to make sure these amenities are functioning before we book them online. We were assured the hot tubs was working properly. When we asked about it at the front counter we were told by the two ladies working that they didn’t know who told us it worked and that it was not fully functioning for a while and that the maintenance guy left a “while ago” and they hadn’t replaced him. So when my wife called Priceline to report this, Priceline called the hotel to verify so they could adjust our price. The ladies at the front desk lied, and told the Priceline representative it worked RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY WIFE. Saying it had water and was hot. No, it had water and was room temperature and the jets didn’t work because the knob to turn them on was broken. It was a Luke warm community bath tub at best. To further disappoint, the water in the room was never hot enough long enough to take a full shower, or fill the tub to bathe the kids. The breakfast was semi ok. Overall, I will not stay here again until there’s new management. There’s plenty of better places to stay for cheap in Odessa. I recommend the MCM over super 8 any day. For just a few dollars more. Oh, and the staff and managers are open and honest about any issues you might have with booking services.

Lots of space in the room and eating area |Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a nice indoor pool, but we didn't take the time to benefit from it. Only down side is you are next to I 20 which is a little noisy. That did make it easy on and off for travelers.

I’ve been on a two week trip across the nation and so far this has the cleanest and largest and most available amenity hotel that I have been to so far outside of maybe the Biltmore hotel. But even then they were Not as clean as you guys. My hotel room was very large, which I think is pretty fitting given that everything is bigger in Texas. I also appreciate the oil rig photography on the wall, it makes me feel at home, if Texas was my home. I like the pool, and I like the large breakfast availability. I especially like the fact that they have a Texas shaped waffle maker. You can’t find that much in the other places. Thank you also to the attendant last night 11/22/24 at around 9:00 PM. She helped us know what was around Odessa, given that I haven’t been around there ever. Help us find some good food, and recommended some good places to go for the night. Overall, this had to be a really great experience and I would absolutely go again. Thanks again for the clean rooms, well-made beds, attention to detail, and hospitality in the staff crew. They are doing a really great job here.

Breakfast is gone by 6:20 am they don’t make more they don’t limit anyone. So oil workers take it all. Not a family friendly place more of an oil workers hotel. Limited to No parking available. No working elevator placed me and my infant on the 3rd floor when asked for a room on first floor it was a up charge and had no rooms available whenever you agreed to paying more. No discount was giving for the inconvenience of the hotel not having a working elevator had to walk up 4 flights of stairs with a baby and luggage. Refunded working be giving back after 3-4 business days so it’s not ideal to be able to just cancel and get another hotel.

Nice clean hotel.  Just off the freeway.  Good room, everything quiet and clean.  Solid breakfast.  Was great for a nights rest and eating on the way through.  Would choose it again.
