Hampton Inn by Hilton Odessa

Rooms and facilities were the standard high quality that has become exactly what I expect from the Hampton Inns that I have stayed at. Location is secure, but the traffic in that area made getting out of the parking lot an intense experience every time. If you can get out early enough in the morning it isn’t bad. Otherwise, it is on a very busy stretch of road.

We stay here often and are happy each time. The breakfast can be fabulous or just ok, but it's nice that they change it up a bit each day for those staying more than one day at a time. The beds are comfy and there seems to be a mix of pillows so sometimes if you don't like the one on your bed try searching for a different one in the closet or go ask the front desk. This visit the room had a strange smell as you walked in but it was never noticeable once you were in the room. They had cute decorations for Halloween in the lobby, which is a nice touch. The employees are always very nice and helpful.

Belongings in vehicle is not safe at this location. Car was broken into and apparently they have no cameras and all they can say is that they’re not responsible for your belongings. However, I have never asked them to be responsible. Just trying to get help and support however sounds like a bunch of shadiness at the hotel knowing the fact that no one is willing to help. Just makes you think that this hotel is a part of it. My vehicle was parked right by lobby door and over night clerk didn't hear my alarm nor did they she see my lights flash. I find it very odd! Plus after filing the police report and knowing this area, why do they not have cameras for the safety of their guest? They obviously do not care.

We have stayed at this Hampton a number of times when we visit Odessa due to the location. At this last stay I filled up the car before returning to the hotel. The next morning the gauge was at an 1/8 of a tank. I realized that someone had siphoned the gas from my car overnight. I asked about the front desk about cameras in the parking lot...no cameras and the desk clerk was adamant that they were not responsible for any problems occuring in the parking lot. I just made new reservations for a visit to Odessa and selected a different, more secure hotel.

Dated property. Dirty tile grout, stained carpet, very little drawer space for clothes, scuff marks on walls. Needs a renovation! AC worked well, bed comfy but pillows flat. No daily housekeeping. Breakfast was OK. Fitness room had one working elliptical and 2 bikes. Both treadmills broken. Will stay elsewhere in future

Your belongings and vehicle is not safe at this location. Car was broken into and no security or cameras around the building. Go somewhere else- management has no remorse. My vehicle was parked right by one of the entrance doors going into lobby and no one saw anything. No alarm, no lights nothing

It's good. Not the best, but not terrible. I love the location. It was convenient to everything we were there for. Getting into and out of the hotel was easy. Breakfast was good. Waffles, sausage (like, smoked sausage), egg white frittata , cereal, muffins, oatmeal, boiled eggs, fruit... the usual fare. |As far as the rooms go. The bed was comfortable, A/C worked well. Room had an overwhelming fragrance. It's a non-smoking hotel, but it almost smelled like someone had smoked in the room, and they sprayed a lot of perfume to cover it up. It was overwhelming and nauseating. We set up a fan, opened the door and tried to air it out a little bit.|The bathroom... nice sink area with plenty of room. I did have a difficult time getting hot water. My shower was luke-warm. With the hot water all the way on, it was still just warm. The toilet is low (low, low) to the floor, and the toilet was between two walls, so it was kinda tight.|Also, the outlets in the room and bathroom are installed upside down. I don't know how that passed the initial fire inspection. It's a fire hazard.|Pool was nice, a little dirty. I didn't get in, just sat outside while the weather was cool.
