NillWas told on booking that there is an airport shuttle which was the reason for selecting this hotel. When I arrived was informed they haven’t offered this service in over a year. Yet there remains a sign outside that states “shuttle”. Whether it was a mistake at the call center or with the hotel staff, this Marriott’s management has a failure in communicating changes in service to their clients. We also weren’t told of the construction at time of booking. A dated hotel in real need of a makeover - which it seems to be getting considering all the construction signs - but definitely also has a significant management/comm’s issue.

NillGreat location. Front desk staff is amazing! Cleaning staff could do better, room was very dusty. Under construction but should be great when done. Sadly, not keeping up with the pool. The parking situation needs to change. Not sure why you require paid valet when parking lots and garage are available. The paid parking is new. Implenting paid park during a very large construction project makes little sense.

NillWas greeted as soon as we pulled up and front desk was helpful. The beds are horrible! Not what I’ve experienced at other Marriott’s. I could hear the springs when I laid on the bed and it indented so strongly that I checked to make sure there was accurate support underneath…(for reference, I am 118lbs so it wasn’t my weight). Air is musty.

★Selected this hotel based on being told during booking that it had an airport shuttle. After check-in found out that not only do they not have a shuttle, but that it’s been over a year since that service was offered. The “shuttle” parking space is still labelled outside - ??!! Would not have booked here if I had known this. Hotel dated, under renovation's, overpriced for its current state and doesn’t offer the amenities it claims either thru its call centers, booking staff or online.

NillThe only thing I can genuinely praise about this hotel is the doorman—he was really friendly and welcoming. As for the rest of the service, it was pretty average. The room itself was very outdated, with peeling wallpaper. Worst of all, the sound of the toilet flushing felt like it was right next to my ear. I don’t know if you believe in things like energy or paranormal vibes, but I definitely felt something off in this hotel. The moment I stepped into the room, I didn’t feel any sense of warmth—instead, there was a constant chill in the air. The atmosphere was just… unsettling.

★★★★Undergoing a much needed renovation. The rooms were once adequate, location is on a quieter side comparable to 2 other nearby Marriott properties and overall amenities are sufficient.|What made the stay memorable are the superb people. Mina and Ruth stand out as extraordinary in being customer centric and solution oriented.|Bob at the restaurant taking care of multiple swim families so early in the morning is notable and exemplary.|Once renovated, the hotel can be a promising stay.

★I had a long journey and a 4-hour flight to get to this hotel, only to find out upon arrival (April 29th, around 5 PM) that my reservation had been canceled without my knowledge. I had booked through my company’s travel app (Navan) about a month in advance and received no notification—no email, no phone call—about the cancellation, which I was told was due to renovations.||The woman at the front desk (long black hair, half tied up) asked if I had received an email about the cancellation. Frankly, if I had, I wouldn’t have shown up. She then informed me I would be sent to their "sister" hotel about 5 minutes away (in reality, it was closer to 10 minutes by car), which completely defeated the purpose of booking this hotel in the first place—it was chosen specifically because of its proximity to Varispace for a business trip.||When I arrived at the new hotel (The Southlake Marriott), the front desk had no record of a reservation for me. I then spent 30 minutes on the phone with a Marriott Westlake representative trying to sort everything out. She was incredibly helpful and reassured me that the original reservation had been canceled without penalty, and that no charges were made to the company card on file. However, I still had to use my personal credit card to make a new reservation at the second hotel.||The way this situation was handled by the Marriott Dallas/Fort Worth Westlake staff was unacceptable. There was no communication about the cancellation, no reservation made on my behalf at the alternate location, and no ownership or real apology from the front desk staff. I left feeling incredibly frustrated and disappointed. I’ve never experienced anything like this before, and I will not be booking here again.

NillWhen I booked this, I was not informed the hotel was under renovation. I had a beautiful large window and when I pulled back the blinds, all I saw was dirt. The pool was filthy. The hotel was like a ghost town. One restaurant/ bar which closed towards the end of the stay. There was no indoor seating so when it rained outside I had to go sit in my room alone. I would never stay here again.
