We are devastated to find Annie Mae no longer has community meals, or staff on site. We understand the choice the family made, but it does not soften the disappointment of losing such a treasure. The service was top-notch when it was provided, and the staff felt like family. The place is still beautiful, the building itself and the area. I can't in good conscience give a good service review from what it was to completely unstaffed now. The rooms are cozy and sufficient for normal needs. You now need a vehicle to get to work or play, however, this is not near anything in Gustavus and is far from the park and docks. Food options are limited in Gustavus, so you either need to pack food, or expect to pay higher prices than you are used to.

Great location, room and atmosphere. We rented the lupine room which had a King and two twin beds. Perfect for our family. Room was clean and comfortable. The common area downstairs was perfect for hanging out. My favorite part was the location/views as it sits on a meadow/river. Very peaceful. It was neat watch Diva, the resident horse, hang out. We even got to say hi.

Very comfortable bed. Quiet . Comfortable lobby/reading room with bathroom. No breakfast or person on premises. OUTDATED REVIEWS ARE STILL POSTED. There is no breakfast, airport transportation, or bicycles. Microwave, coffee maker and disposable cutlery and paper plates as well as refrigerator provided. Two mile walk to coffee shop and restaurant. One mile walk to grocery store. No bicycles available. Two taxi companies helpful but no cell service so WiFi needed to call them. There is also also a landline phone at front door.

A perfect place to stay at while exploring Gustavus. The family that runs the lodge and their long time staff make you feel like part of the family. They offer transportation to all your activities (which you can book directly with them such as the glacier cruise, whale watching cruise and fishing excursions) as well as trips to Tasco and fireweed cafe. Continental breakfast is include with your stay and they offer hot breakfast options and dinner for purchase. Diva is in the nearby meadow and they had apple slices to offer to her.||||I stayed in the Annie Mae room which had a shared bathroom with the Linda Lee room. it was clean and well supplied. the view from my room was perfect. On one of the day I was soaked from the constant rain while walking on the trails in the national park. They dried my boots and the rain jacket in heated room before my next adventure.||||I heard that the family will be putting the lodge on the Air BNB website and only the rooms that have entrance doors on the deck will be available. My room as well as 3 others will no longer be available to stay in; meals and transportation will no longer be available. I'm bummed!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were only here for a night to see Glacier Bay National Park but they were great about taking us everywhere we needed to go, and sharing stories and looking for wildlife on the way. When we checked in, they personally escorted us to our room, Lupine. It was on the second floor and overlooked the meadows behind the lodge. We loved that Diva the horse just roamed around the grounds and our boys were so excited to feed her carrots and apples from the kitchen staff. Breakfast was included for free and included cereal, yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, juice, milk and coffee. You could also order from the menu, which we did, and the French toast was delicious! The dinner was good but a bit pricy, but pretty much everything here is since it costs to much to transport things here. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Our room, while tight, was clean and served its purpose, and it is so safe in these parts we didn't even use a room key! They have bikes to ride and rain boots to borrow, outdoor yard games and indoor board games.

Such an incredibly special bed and breakfast in Gustavus. The lodge is in an idyllic setting - and the lodge itself is warm, comfortable and welcoming. The lodge is run by a family, who are so kind and work incredibly hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Matthew, one of the members of the family, helped us to arrange all of our activities, helping us to get to and from the ferry, sea plan, and national park. Dinner is provided for an additional fee and they go to great lengths to satisfy any dietary needs (I'm gluten-free) as well as provide a full and satisfying meal. Their dessert was especially delicious. Breakfast is also provided, and is a nice spread of yogurt, granola, baked goods, etc., hot items are also offered at an additional charge. This is such a special place, my only regret is not staying longer.

We were picked up on time at the ferry terminal and given a history lesson of the area by a very nice lady. Our room was comfortable enough, though our first night was annoyingly noisy from the bathroom fan below us being left on all night. Each day breakfast was a nice spread of fresh fruit, baked goods, yogurt, granola, and various drinks. We had dinner at the lodge our first night and the food was excellent, though I didn't care for seating arrangements. Having to sit and visit rather than eat isn't what I was looking for. The other days we took advantage of the lodge bikes and rode all over the area, including to the Clove Hitch Cafe for two meals. The location was excellent for our day long tour of the park and the next day guided kayaking adventure. The morning of our departure we were driven to the airport by the friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Best vacation ever! The Annie Mae Lodge is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Food was so good! Was not expecting such delicious entrees. Halibut, beef tips and so much more. We ate out at a the Gustavas Inn also! Breakfast was home made pancakes, spruce tip syrup, omelettes, eggs any way you desire or healthy yogurt with fresh fruit and granola! I think the granola was home made. The staff was really at our beck and call with rides to and from any activities we had planned. Chartered a boat for two days and brought 80 pounds of Halibut back to Denver! The small town is filled with kindness! Can’t wait for the next trip. Tell Rachael and Jason hello if you book at this wonderful lodge.
