No Wi-Fi except main building and restaurants. Cheapest shower head made. Seriously. No microwave. No mini-fridge. Floor of our room had macaroni and other food on it at check-in. Both key cards quit after checkout time on day 3 of our 4 day stay. Desk person blamed it on being in a wallet. Only one had been in a wallet. Didn't apologize for the inconvenience. No air-conditioning. We had 3 sequential days of 80° or near 80° F weather. Nice hiking trails. Beautiful view of Denali and nearby mountains. Nice, if limited, variety of craft beer on tap and canned. Good variety of wines.

We went here for one night as part of a Princess Cruise and Land Tour. Very nice large lodge in the Alaska Wilderness. We ate at the 20320 Restaurant and our waiter was friendly and the food was good. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We took a horse drawn covered Wagon ride with D & S wagon rides and really enjoyed it. Steve and his wife were so friendly and nice. Loved the smores, reindeer and panning for gold. We also saw a show at the lodge theatre showing a collection of panoramic photos of the northern lights taken over a persons lifetime. Fantastic! We also saw a Park Ranger talk about bears. Very informational. Beautiful scenery and grounds. We really enjoyed our stay here.

We enjoyed our stay at McKinley Lodge other than the rain. It rained almost the entire time. Mt. McKinley/Denali wasn't visible the entire time as it was cloud covered. We did enjoy the aurora borealis show that they have in the theater. That worked out great because we didn't get the see the aurora borealis when we were in Fairbanks due to rain. We had a great time playing cards with our friends in the guest services building.

Really disappointed. Spread out campus style property with parking far from rooms so takes a bit to get around/load-unload luggage. The casual restaurant was definitely the worst meal I had in Alaska, very frozen low quality factory food and terrible wait staff, got ignored for an exceptional amount of time and prices were way high for the quality. The only thing good about the spot is if it's clear you can see Denali from the welcome area patio but they blast loud obnoxious pop music which makes it hard to actually enjoy the area. Do not recommend unless you're stuck there due to a cruise. Wish I'd stayed somewhere more charming in Talkeetna which is an hour away.

We spent one day/night at the lodge. Our room was clean and comfortable, but somewhat dated and basic. There are lovely grounds with paved trails around the lodge. The rooms are in different buildings spread out around the property, which was nice to not feel too crowded. There are shuttles that can take you to different areas of the property if needed. The outdoor areas have plenty of seating and areas to gather during good weather outdoors. However, the indoor areas are more limited. Besides the few short walks around the property, and the two restaurants on-site there is nothing else to do. We ate dinner and breakfast at one of the on-site restaurants, and the food was acceptable, but nothing special. We visited Talkeetna for a few hours, which we enjoyed, but it is about an hour from the lodge. If this wasn't part of our land-cruise package, I would have preferred to stay longer in Denali.

A beautiful lodge in a breathtaking location! The rooms and property is very nice and modern. The food is great, as are the cocktails. On a clear day you get a wonderful view on Denali and Moose Tooth. While the food is great, the restaurants are a bit understaffed. Expect to wait at the restaurants, both to be seated and to be served. Recommend making dinner reservations before you arrive. Also note that while Talkeetna looks close on a map, it’s an hour shuttle ride away ($10 round trip per person). Keep this in mind as you plan your visit.

Generally, I think this lodge is way overpriced with $250 a night. I hope that cruise passengers get better deals. The lodge is gigantic and far away from everything, so you really need to plan in extra time for anything you want to do. A shuttle drives around on property and another one does the 1h drive to Talkeetna. If you (like me) didn‘t book any packages, this really isn‘t a great place as everything comes at an extra cost and because of the location. The restaurants on site are small and incredibly expensive. WiFi is slow and not available in the rooms. One staff member at the reception was rude and hostile towards her coworkers and the guests - which gave me a strange first impression of the place. Next time, I‘d rather stay at a downtown location for a cheaper price.

This stop on our cruise tour was the worst place of everywhere we went. I understand the whole US is understaffed right now but the quality of service and the care the employees have is zero stars. The only reason this place is worth going to is for the view. We stayed two nights, the second night we tried to walk into our room and the key card was not working. We weren’t the only ones, the second party we were with also had the same problem and while we waited for them to delivery us new keys there was another group on our same floor with the same problem. When we told the front desk what was going on they refused to accept accountability and tried to say it was because we had our key cards to close to our phones. I know this is a thing and you can use that excuse on one group but not three different rooms!! My group was lucky enough to be there when Denali showed herself two days in a row. (They say only 30% get to see it). There are not enough restaurants on the property and the wait times are ridiculous. Once we finally got a table on the first night our waiter completely forgot about us. I would not go back. Skip it and go straight to the Denali hotel and get a helicopter tour on a sunny day to get your Denali view! The town of Talkeetna was great. On a side note, the coach drivers were great and the overall transportation that Princess provides is fantastic.
