Aurora Motel

I made the best out of a horrible situation staying here. The manager seemed nice at first but then when things weren’t going her way she turned on me. I went out of town for a trip I had planned and it was only a few days, I payed up front the money owed to her for the room and she took advantage of me and had my things out on the curb by the time I came back. She sent my cats to a shelter when I had someone coming to watch them. She destroyed my cats food bowls and the food container. I had items stolen from me, even my work clothes were taken from me. I did the best I could to make the best out of a bad situation I was in. The place had no air unit and she kept saying she was going to put me in another room but never did. I was really disappointed about my cats. I had to fight tooth and nail to show that I would never abuse my cats and that they were being taken care of. She informed Animal Control that I abused and abandoned my cats with no food. If you stay here be mindful to handle your business and move around.

One thing separates this Motel from many others on Colfax, however I imagine there are other establishments that may offer a similar service to this unique aspect that I'm about to mention: with the help of a local nonprofit organization known as It Takes a Village, this Motel is involved in community support and Outreach that has allowed me to stay here at a considerably reduced-cost. My case is particular so, I'm not certain if the nonprofit services are applicable to everyone, however it's worth mentioning what lifesavers they have been. This review serves as a special thank you to the program mentioned above and a special thank you to the property owners here at the Aurora Motel for participating in being a pillar of support to the community and to me. The motel offers modest rates and well-maintained rooms that are secure and comfortable. The area is looking a lot better in recent years and continues to flourish as Government Aid and public knowledge is prioritized for people in the lower class and transient demographic. Areas like this are culturally vibrant and have a strong police presence which gives the City a lively and relatively safe atmosphere. However, remain cautious and look out for each other, one can never be too vigilant in the pursuit of safety. The owner of this establishment is very accommodating, bilingual and particularly skilled at delivering polite-professionalism while effectively communicating updates and changes to guests as necessary. They seem very experienced and hold their own in the community of small business owners and have a firm reputation for upholding and uplifting others. Thank you Margherita and family. God bless! 🙂✝️

Room had Roaches and their idea of air conditioning was a small evaporated fan on wheels. The manager was rude and argumentitive about my significant other coming as a guest and said no guest or you leave. Wth

Maria the manager is nice. Roaches everywhere you can't have a cup without a lid. She offered us an apartment right behind the one we are in because it is quiet back there. She told us it wasn't ready yet she had to have court come out but instead of that happening she rented it to someone else. We have been here 3 months passing for furnished place with full kitchen. 3 of the 4 burners on stove work oven don't work. Can't sleep on the bed the entire left side slopes and we have to sit on a futon mattress on floor because she didn't give us a couch. Was told several times she was getting it. They have us 2 office chassis for furniture. She says one thing but does another.

Extreme roaches in the room. Told the proprietor SHE BLAMED me the 1st night. 1 week ..she blamed me for everything including the backed plumbing. BAD MANAGEMENT and extremely poor maintenance!

This was a great motel for our 5 day stay. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. It was a very enjoyable stay. We will probably stay again on our next trip. The only problem was no coffeemaker in the room, but they had plenty in the office.

I'm confused too town soon. Margarita? I don't know if you remember me but I was there when Juan was taking from you. You and Juan took care of me like I was family. He treated me like a daughter. I'll always give you 5 stars . Cause y'all were my family when I was there. Anyways this is Pearla. #7. Blessings Mama.

Rooms or large, clean, and up-to-date. Management is serious about privacy for clients. Very family-oriented. And very easy on the budget. A nice place to stay If you're looking for someplace quiet.
