We stayed at the motel and had a very nice time. The desk service was friendly. The motel is nice and very well maintained. Nice grounds with flowers and beautiful hanging plants. It was quiet with everything we needed. The only negative is that the mattresses were very firm (hard). Not a problem for me but if you want a medium mattress you will have a hard time; no pun intended. :) Great place though.

This is a great place to visit. We love the vibe. The friendly down to earth people. And very helpful staff . It’s always a great time here . We start out with the pontoon rental at 200 a half day for a trip out to see the manatees on our own terms . Recommend a very cool couple of days in advance for the best experience with these lovely animals. After spending a great afternoon 1/2 day with the manatee we returned and fuel was only 6 bucks for the entire trip . Highly recommend. Than off to the bar . Restaurant for a beer and a beautiful sunset. Beer is is like 3 bucks a draft that I found very reasonable. I highly recommended this place. It’s a wonderful spot for a great day . With the best people I’ve met in Florida.

This whole area is just a great getaway. All our experiences, from service to drinks and food, have always been good. We haven't stayed at the hotel yet. But the restaurant (the shed) is a good choice. Another great spot to relax by the water.

Great, friendly place right in the heart of Homosassa. I try to stay here every time I'm in town, and if it's not available, I still spend a lot of time at the Shed for great food and cold beer!

MacRae's is convenient for a fishing trip. The room are good for a brief stay and afford guests the option of cooking or eating out. The hotel booking process was easy with nice people to help out. My issue was the manager of their store selling supplies. This guy needs to go back to customer service school. I found him to rude and downright mean. My decision was to move next door and give the Cracker my business. For reference the Florida Cracker rooms are nice, and they have better parking.
