NillWe stayed at the El Conquistador this past weekend for my husband's birthday. Our stay was wonderful. Yvette at the front desk made us feel welcome, and was so friendly and accommodating from the moment we walked in the lobby. We enjoyed the main pool on Saturday and Sunday. All the outside wait staff were prompt and attentive. My only wish is that they offered food and beverage service at the adult pool. There were a ton of families with small children at the main pool since it is so close to the slide area, and that was not quite as relaxing as we wanted. We definitely wanted to eat and drink, so the main pool was the only option for that. Also, more lounge chairs are desperately needed. There were maybe 60 lounge chairs and easily room for double if not triple that amount. Overall a great weekend and I am looking forward to our next stay.

NillWe spent 4 nights at the resort and really enjoyed it. Service and food are excellent. Poolside service is a must and they didn’t disappoint. Restaurant staff and food were top notch as well. We wanted to be near the main pool and they moved us to a different location quickly. We enjoyed everything and highly recommend.

★★★★First to deal with the elephant in the room - the rooms are a bit dated. However, the rooms are well maintained and were clean. But leaving the rooms aside, the hotel is nicely situated at the base of the mountain and it gives it a nice different view and feel to it. The grounds are very well maintained - they spent a bunch of effort on the landscaping. And the hotel design is done nicely with most of the buildings facing the center where the pool etc are. The hotel lobby also is done very well with a couple of very nice metal murals. So if you leave aside the elephant, it has a nice resort feel to it. ||They had a water slide and on the weekend, they setup an inflatable slide for the smaller kids. The pool water temperature was decent even in March since they kept it heated. The water slide was a hit with my son. They also had other things like tennis that we didn't take advantage of. ||They had a very decent breakfast buffet ($26 with taxes included) when we visited. You could instead opt to order a-ala-carte - but we felt that the breakfast buffet had a nice value with the included fruits etc. ||I am a Hilton Diamond member - I don't think I got any benefit of room upgrade - I think the hotel was full. Hotel took off the standard $15x2 per-day from our breakfast buffet charge. ||One down side to the hotel is that it is a bit away from Tuscon - but it is in a nice area with several restaurants within easy reach and we enjoyed the drive into one of the housing communities where the houses are built on the hillside - they are at a higher elevation and have nice view.

★★★★★The hotel service was great. Rosie serviced our room and she did a great job to help us when we were not using the room. We enjoyed our room with great beds and nice pillows. Chris at the hotel registration desk when we entered was wonderful. He was happy, informative, helpful and just a delight in how welcoming he was. We enjoyed his sense of humor. Our first meal at the Cafe was so-so, but the freshly grilled hamburgers/hotdogs at the poolside were really good. For our business meetings, the food was very good, although they were wrapped breakfast sandwiches which made the service quick. The sit-down lunches and dinners served delicious southwest flavored meals. The lawns and activities were well-cared for and very pretty.

★★This hotel has lots of potential and the site is stunning. The views are out of this world! However, our casita was a bit run down. The carpet had multiple dark stains and we found a few bugs flying around. It had a strange smell like women's perfume mixed with stale air. The staff at the front desk weren't helpful but the manager called us and gave us some money back which we appreciated. The restaurant on site was really good, I recommend the Shishito Peppers. The lobby was nice but the piped in fragrance was strong.

NillWe had a wonderful family stay at this hotel during Christmas time. This hotel is not as fancy as other Hilton resorts, but it has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Lisa M at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our visit, making everything go smoothly. We thoroughly enjoyed her recommended hiking trails and local restaurants. A short golf cart ride to the trail head was fun. The room may need some updates but the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast and bar staff were friendly and attentive, adding to our delightful experience. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. We can't wait to come back again.

★★★★Stayed at the conquistador with our two kids while attending a sporting event nearby. The hotel is located in a desirable area with lots of restaurants and shopping options nearby. The mountain views from the property are outstanding. The hotel itself is a bit dated but for the price paid, it provides a good value. The highlight of our stay were the poolside activities (chipping contest) coordinated by Lucas. He was very friendly and engaging and made sure the kids had fun.

★★★I was surprised by the number of families staying here. We were looking for a less busy getaway experience. The resort is dated. Needs upgrades. Our room door took several tries to close and latch, and even then, it did not close securely. There is no microwave in the rooms. Courteous staff.
