Victorian Bay Resort

We stayed at this location several times. The cabins are quaint and well thought out. We had just about everything we needed. The only downside was booking. Every year we had one problem or another. The first two years, the units were double booked. The last year we couldn't even stay because all reservations were cancelled with less than 4 days' notice.

Ziggy and Maria are amazing people, very friendly and if we needed ANYTHING they were on it. The grounds were very well maintained and they had everything you need right there in the bathhouse. Paddle boarding, paddle boats, john boat, water trampoline with a slide and a large variety of water toys for the kids, all free to use. Our cabin was clean and had all the amenities. We will be staying here again.

We've stayed there several years now, & plan to stay for a lot more! There aren't many places that the owners take time to get to know you, & share their lives with you. Ziggy & Maria are people who have worked at many things, & have gone through many things. They take care of any issues you have, & we love the quiet bay. Great place for families or just a single traveler. It doesn't have to be a trip to IB to bring you to the Victorian Bay.

I spent a week every summer as a child at Lake Shafer/Indiana Beach. When I heard the park was sold and upgrades were being made I wanted to check it out. I researched every motel on Indiana Beach Road and settled on Victorian Bay Resort. When I called for information, Maria was very helpful. I made the reservation for one night. It's like stepping back in time. The lake cottages are small and a little on the tired side, but clean. We stayed in the Wabash cottage. There is one double bed, a double bed with a bunk on top and a futon. The beds were fairly comfortable. Everything in the cabin was in working order including the A/C which was a good thing since it was 90 degrees. We had a private deck which we enjoyed for cocktails in the evening and coffee in the morning. The resort has a good lake setting with plenty of shade and sun, several lake front tables and lounge chairs and a fire ring in the middle. After an afternoon on the lake we decided to extend our stay another night. We were so glad we did. I really enjoyed this weekend getaway and would definitely stay here again.||||||||

Went back for our second time. This time taking 4 cabins and another family is joining us with another group of 7.We had another fantastic time - fishing was good, kids loved the swimming facilities, our weather was perfect, and the cabins were what we expected - not 5 star, but great for a lakeside stay. We could sit on our deck and watch the kids swim, we cooked out on the furnished grills, the free wi-fi worked great, and the hosts were awesome - especially the dog DUD. We have already booked the place for next year and will take another cabin. Easy walk to the amusement park and we were able to buy discount group tickets which reduced our cost (be sure to check it out if you are buying 15 or more tickets. Next year we will take a small outboard motor which we will use on one of the available boats. They have free row boats and paddle boats for the kids and have free life jackets to use. Cabins have TV, AC, range, and microwave. Another GREAT TIME !!

We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and attitude. We stayed an extra day it was so relaxing. It's close to the boardwalk. It is a vintage cottage that encourages good family time (although they do provide wifi). They have kayaks, paddle boats, paddle boards, row boats all for use included. Great value! Good people! Awesome dog!

We enjoyed our time at Victorian Bay very much, this is our second year vacationing there and won't be our last! Ziggy and Maria are such nice people, never to busy to answer any questions you might have, suggest restaurants or just sit and have a cold drink with you. Ziggy even brought us firewood so my granddaughter could have a campfire and s'mores. I forgot to bring bed sheets and Maria readily supplied me with some. The cottages are clean with stove, fridge, microwave and air conditioning and can sleep up to 6. Its like a little country lakeside get-a way hidden within walking distance to Indiana Beach. If you are looking for a fancy hotel this is not for you but if you like a county setting right on the water with a cozy, clean cottage and friendly people this is the place to be :) Ann G.

The rooms were a little dated but other than that the service was excellent make sure you bring your own sheets and towels there were pillows and blankets for the beds. Cabin had a full size fridge and the bay was calm enough for the kids to swim. Overall excellent value for the location.
