Meadowlark Resort

We have stayed at several different cabin resorts in Boulder Junction over the years, but this is our favorite by far. Rich is a fantastic host, and our cabin was thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need. A beautiful, quiet retreat in a family-friendly setting with great lake access. We will be back!

Have been yearly visitor to Meadowlark Resort for over 25 straight years. Came up as a child with our grand parents, parents and now our own children. Very quiet clean and welcoming accomodations. Lake is quiet and is a great place to bring a family. No speed boats or jet skis to disturb the peaceful vacation. Owners are always looking for ways to improve. Resort has a small playground for the little ones and everything you need to make your family vacation enjoyable. We have compared other family friendly resorts in the area and Meadowlark Resort is a great value for your money. We have recommended Meadowlark to many friends and co-workers and they have had great vacations there also. Fishing is good when ever we have been there. We have rebooked for next year already and our friends will be staying in the other cabin as well with their kids. Can't wait to get back UpNorth.

Like a personal private oasis. Enjoyed being away from the crowd. Conveniently located just off highway 51. Close to several small towns. Richard was a good host. Supplied us with a boat and trolling motor. Very helpful finding the best places to eat and things to do in the area. Lake has many fish and was active the week we spent there. Saw many birds including Eagles, Heron, Hummingbirds, Mallard ducks and heard the Loons almost every morning. Cabin was thoughtfully decorated and had a well equipped kitchen.

Meadowlark Resort is well-situated off of 51 and is convenient for dining etc. The lake itself is nice, but our dock was covered in goose waste with no effort made to clean it. While it's clear that repairs/remodels are in progress (literally, partially completed) our cabin was somewhat dirty and had an unpleasant odor. We did not meet the owners as they were not home when we tried to check in, and we were at the cabin as little as possible. We never did find out things like which boat was ours to use or where to take our garbage. I've stayed at several resorts up north and this one is well-priced, but you get what you pay for. Two stars are for location and wifi access.

The cabin is steps from this beautiful lake. Fishing is great and there is a boat you can use. People that run the resort are friendly. There is cable and Wi-Fi. Very quiet and peaceful.
