NillSunrise, sunset. Both are beautiful on the lake view from this wonderful family run resort. The energy of the resort is serene. The stars light up the night perfectly. Cabins, very well kept. Lots of rooms and beds and you could really live in these cabins. I will be back with my family many times.

NillWhat a wonderful hidden gem up in the north woods of Wisconsin! Available year-round, the cabins are well-kept, the grounds are wonderful, and the direct access to the lake is amazing. Chris and Tammy are wonderful hosts and make sure that everyone is comfortable and at ease during their entire stay.

NillStayed for 5 days in AUG. Awesome location, great fishing once you figure it out. Very kid friendly, kids 10, 8, and 4yo had a blast at the small beach and the game room. Owners best ive ever experienced at a resort.

★★★★★I can’t imagine choosing another cabin resort for our annual get together with relatives and friends. The owners, Chris and Tammy are really special people who go out of their way to ensure your stay is a wonderful experience. Their resort is on the shores of Moose Lake and offers countless activities for the entire family: boating, fishing, swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, paddle boating, canoeing, basketball, cornhole boards, hiking, and fun gatherings at evening campfires for S’mores and pure relaxation. Fishing boats and a pontoon boat are also available for rent. You can choose from eight nicely maintained cabins that are all set in the Northwoods, offering a very peaceful and serene vibe. Restaurants, shopping and the Sevenwinds casino are all available in the nearby town of Hayward. The Virgin Timber Resort has been our first and only cabin resort choice for 17 years, and each year when we depart the resort for home, we start our countdown until our next visit. This special resort, under exceptional management, and offering many entertaining activities in a peaceful Northwood’s environment, has our highest recommendation.

NillThe owners were able to respond to and reserve us nearly at the last minute for a great weekend. Chris and Tammy have a wonderful getaway for your family. All you need to do is book it. Their website explains it all pretty clearly... but there's cabins to stay in privately and safely, personal firepits and grills for use, and several watercraft available to use with your rental, and additional motorized water craft available at additional cost. The lodge was adorable and easily able to host activities for 2-3 families. The only downside I found (and I feel bad for being a Debbie downer) was some of the mattresses available to you in the cabins are a little uncomfortable, I recommend bringing an extra mattress pad or a large bottle of Tylenol

NillVisited Virgin Timber Resort 3x each in the fall season. Breathtaking views right on the shore of mooselake. Our cabin was clean and cozy each time. Owners are incredibly humble and friendly. They live right on site which made for easy maintenance requests and a level of safety. I especially liked that dogs are allowed and that boats are available to use along with life jackets. Nothing beats a night sky view this far up north in Wisconsin, and at virgin timbers being so far (about 45 mins away from the nearest bigger city) the views are perfect. I'd love to return soon!
