What an amazing place! Wow. I’m bike touring the North Lakes route and stayed in the hiker/biker cabin on the lake. Kelsey was an incredibly accommodating host and after a long day of riding, made me feel right at home. The cabin was cozy, bathrooms were super clean and though the lodge wasn’t open for dinner, I grabbed a few beers there and was able to use the wifi in porch area. Highly recommend this place especially for bicycle tourists passing though.

We could not have been happier with our stay at Boulder Lodge!!! We were on a family camping trip, and the resort was the perfect place for it! The staff is wonderful! The facilities are clean, and very "north woods". Enjoyed the pontoon rental. Will definitely be back... hopefully bringing bigger groups next time!

September 16, 2024 not a good time to camp there in the Meadows. A family reunion was going on so the entitled family members next to us had three large dogs that slept in kennels in their SUV and barked all night long and every time they heard our camper door or us. The entitled family across and over a site from us didn’t feel the need to leash their dog who came out of nowhere at 9pm and spooked our dog who was on a leash that my husband was holding. He tried to get her quickly into our camper and bumped her leg on the step as he lost his balance and hit his knee. We left the next day because our dog is still limping and my husband’s knee is pretty bruised. The no WiFi and internet isn’t a good feeling if someone had an emergency and needed to get a hold of us. It was a one and done for us. REGARDING your answer to my review. Of course no one else complained about the barking dogs. We were the only ones there! Also, it doesn’t matter how big the dog was! In the dark and an unexpected unleashed dog comes into your campsite out of the darkness what do you expect. ALSO, I had to call my daughter standing in front of your office. Yes you are in a beautiful site, we don’t deny that.

We choice this as our Anniversary vacation, it was NOT disappointing. The hospitality from Kelsey & Jason was grant. We are already planning another stay in Aug. It's the best get away vacation you could have. It's just you & nature; you go there to enjoy this time w/out the distraction of all the "electronic devices".

We visited Boulder Lodge on Ghost Lake to view the dazzling auroras (5-10-24). The owner waited for us to arrive and gave me a tour of property and suggested the best place to view the Northern Lights at 11pm. Very dark and great place to view the night sky. I plan to visit Bolder Lodge again.

Michelle, Terry, Kelsey, and Jason are fantastic hosts, I look forward to getting back to Boulder Lodge! Great burgers plus live music in the lodge, clean comfortable cabins, and Ghost Lake is a beautiful body of water.

We camped at Boulder Lodge just 23 miles east of Hayward in the Chequamegon National Forest. The full hook-up campsites were very well maintained with much brush between sites, so they were nicely secluded. . The Lodge itself is really nice. It is an 1880's original logging cabin that has been beautifully restored serving light food with a bar. The owners, Michelle and Terry, are super friendly and keep the property in excellent condition. The only reason I didn't give it a rating of 5 is because there really is not much of a beach to speak of. Definitely not a swimming lake, but is a very nice small fishing lake. They even have a pontoon for rent. We loved our stay there and would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet campground!

We stayed for four nights and three full days at the "Cottage" cabin at Boulder Lodge recently with our 11-year-old grandson on his annual "Grandparent Vacation." We had a good time at the resort overall. The cabin is spacious, pleasant, well-appointed, and comfortable. The screen porch is a definite plus, and I appreciated being able to access the wi-fi from there rather than having to go to the lodge.||||We ate one meal and some snacks and drinks at the lodge, but cooked the rest of our meals "in", including one cookout at our fire pit. We arranged for a fishing trip for our grandson with True North Guides and that was great fun for him and my husband. ||||Canoeing on Ghost Lake was also a good experience. But you should know that the lodge and the resort are not on the lake itself, but on the channel. Also the resort is on a busy road, so you do hear traffic noise from the cabin, as well as quite a bit of noise from the lodge on a Friday night. The cottage cabin is very close to the owner's home and the laundry facility, so people park right out by the porch and there is not much feeling of privacy--definitely not a "cabin in the woods" feel. Having said that, however, it was still a much quieter three days than being in a hotel in the city, and we had a very good time.||||I would recommend the "Cottage at Boulder Lodge", as long as you aren't looking for a cabin in the wood right on the lakeshore. There is a lot to do there, and the owners are friendly and helpful. And the area is very beautiful.
