The lake is beautiful, and the beach is nice for reading a book and looking at the water. Boating and pontooning from the dock is great. Note: this lake no longer has any Musky because all the Pike eat the Musky babies. |The motel, is not great or nice. The rooms are not remodeled and look like no one has done anything with them since the 50's. Wall wood paneling has cobwebs. No maid service at all. You also have to empty your own trash, but they don't provide any extra trash bags for the tiny trashcans in the room. No complimentary small shampoo, cream rinse, lotion, mouthwash but they did provide 5 mini-bars of soap (smallest I've ever seen). No hair dryer. No outlet in the bathroom (except 1 in the light in the bathroom which doesn't work and is above the sink (hazard!). The sink in the bathroom had a constant leak so I had to put a towel underneath to absorb the water. The beds are rock hard. The electrical outlets are so bad that no matter what you plug in, they fall out. The outlets spark any time you try to plug something in. The wall unit AC has provided no consistency in temperature. The perimeter of the AC is not sealed so bugs can come and go. The TV has terrible sound and is outdated. Given how cheap TVs are these days, they should be replaced. Note: it is Direct TV. The tub/shower has no bars or anything to hold on to so if you are disabled or need to stabilize it won’t happen. I am not disabled, and I slipped in the tub and fell half out/half in. There is no non-slip mat or tub non-slip surface. |Outside, a wooden porch wraps around the motel. There are rusty nails sticking out. One hammer could have fixed this. The paint on the wood is chipping on the porch and chairs. All need to be repainted. The same piece of trash was in front of my door the whole week. They have grills on each side of the building, with chipping interior paint and a number of spiders. We used two of them. The grates are rusty and/or dirty. We were able to clean them off enough and burn off some yuck. |This motel charges hotel rates and there are so may cheap fixes that would cost very little, yet they have not been done. Cleaning the room walls to get the cobwebs and dirt off only requires a bit of maid work. A handy man can handle paint and nails. |There is no restaurant, bar, or vending machine on site. If you want food/beverage you have to drive. They do have a microwave and mini fridge in the room.|There is absolutely no accommodation for disabilities. No ramps, just steps. Lifting a person in wheelchair to get up/down the room front doorsteps is not easy. The entire property is not wheelchair friendly. |Again, if you go, you are going for the lake and the surrounding beauty which is peaceful and serene.

Cabin and hotel room was ok, but the beds were as hard as the floor. The bunk beds squeaked so badly that our daughter was afraid to move. Mid-week I requested our sheets be changed, due to a spill, In one of the motel rooms and I was told to bring the sheets to the office and trade them. Then, I could make the bed myself. Not the service I look for at a motel. None of the rooms or cabins are close to the shore. There is a nice beach area to use. This could have been a reunion spot for years to come, but I don’t think so.

The room was comfortable. The resort was quiet with fishing off the pier or best launch for a minimal charge. Private beach available with swings and sand toys for the kids. Gas grill available for you to use, which we did and firewood available for a minimal charge and fire pits available. Cabins are also available to rent. Big musky lives under the pier and a pretty bug snapping turtle swimming around. My son had great fun fishing!!

We rented the three bedroom lodge for the week. This space was perfect for our family as it has a full size full living, kitchen, and dining area. The place is rustic Northwoods.||||Bedroom 1: Queen with a full bathroom||Bedroom 2/3: This room has a queen and a partition wall to make the third bedroom (single over double bunk). Don't expect a true full 3 bedrooms. Again has a full bathroom.||||This is not modern hotel, but you can expect great service from Tani & Jeff (owners). You have the option rent a great pontoon boat (we did) and/or great fishing rigs as well.||||This is great spot of the beaten path. As another reviewer commented, "this is a small family owned place. The owners live on site and are very accommodating. It's not ultra modern but it is clean and quiet".||||This is a perfect space to enjoy Tiger Cat with family or a large group for fishing.

We were so taken aback when we arrived and saw our room. The website's photo of the motel room looked clean and new and fresh. Our room was none of those!!! Dirty carpet, hard and old beds, tiny bathroom and very rundown. Not sure where the website picuture was taken....we saw nothing of the sort on the grounds.||The beach area is wonderful and peaceful.

It's a gorgeous location, but really turned off by the rudeness of staff regarding a parking situation that we were not aware of. There were no signs on directing us where to park. We meant no harm. I thought we had complied based on the layout. To be scolded like a little kid was unacceptable.

My wife and I stumbled upon this place by accident while surfing the net and decided to give it a try. It's like a step back in time. You walk into the small office, sign on the dotted line and that's it. No upselling, no push for another night. This is a small family owned place. The owners live on site and are very accommodating. It's not ultra modern but it is clean and quiet and that's good enough for us.
