The Xanadu, Coonoor

We stayed at Xanadu, Coonoor for three nights to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and the whole experience was wonderful. The property is absolutely beautiful —stunning views, well maintained, surrounded by flowers, and has that perfect mix of rustic charm and modern comfort. The views are stunning and make you want to just sit back and soak in the scenery. It is located in a gated society which ensures safety too. The caretakers were attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, and the home-cooked meals we ordered for lunch and dinner were equally good. A special mention to our v lovely host Aparna, who was always available, recommended the best cab service and arranged a special birthday cake for my friend, which made the celebration extra memorable. It was the perfect stay in Coonoor — peaceful, comfortable, and truly hospitable. Would love to come back again.

Very Beautiful place to stay in Coonoor. Everything is amazing & beautiful about this property, including the location, place, service, ambience, rooms and the staff. The entire staff is so helpful, friendly and polite. Special thanks to the Owner, Aparna Bharathan Madam, who made sure our stay remained pleasant, she not only addressed us with warmth but also helped us in dealing with everything as we visited the place for the first time ,for example, which places to visit, arranging taxi for us, n all with appropriate pricing. With such nice people serving us, travellers build trust and with such trust, Holidays gets memorable. Thank you The Xanadu, I'm coming back soon.

We stayed in the Superior Room at The Xanadu, Coonoor, and had a wonderful experience. The property is set in a stunning gated community that feels more like a quaint European town than India, with charming bylanes and a serene atmosphere. It overlooks a picturesque valley—definitely a 10/10 for the view. The food is simple, homely, and delicious, just like a comforting home-cooked meal. The hospitality stands out, with warm, kind, and courteous staff who make you feel well cared for. The entire place exudes peace and comfort, making it perfect for a quiet, relaxing getaway. If you’re looking to unwind in a beautiful, tranquil setting, this is the place to be.

Absolutely breathtaking experience at The Xanadu, Coonoor! The hospitality, service, and views are truly exceptional. The food is delicious, especially the parathas, dosa, and paneer dishes. The candlelight dinner setup for ₹500 extra is a lovely touch. The real highlight is the stunning view - it's like being nestled between the mountains. Aparna, the property owner, went above and beyond to make my birthday special by arranging a cake without any extra charge. The staff are polite and unobtrusive, and the in-room Jacuzzi was pure bliss. I celebrated my 30th birthday here and it was truly unforgettable. Thank you, The Xanadu team, for making it a special day! Highly recommended! 5/5 stars

We had a lovely stay at Xanadu. Everything was thoughtfully organised and made available. The view from the property and area around it was breathtaking. We would recommend taking a walk through the area with Zubin. He shared interesting insights concerning the tea estate.

The location is the best part. The view especially the sunrise is just too good. Food options are limited but the home chefs do a good job. Guests must understand that this is a shared 3 BHK villa so your privacy is definitely compromised. It'll be best if 3 couples (I'd recommend couples only) book the entire villa. Service was good but has scope for improvement mainly in terms of cleanliness.

Apart from the amazing views, the rooms and the property is very hygienic. The owner is very polite and responsive. The caretaker cum cook ‘Gangaram’ is also very polite and helpful. Love the place, stayed for a day during mid Dec. Would recommend to book the entire property in order to have utmost privacy. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely loved the place!! First of all the location of the house was amazing, breathtaking views from the windows. The flowers around the house were so beautiful. The place is so well maintained, this stay was the highlight of our trip for both the adults and kids. The help there is very good, they clean up after us and always keep the place so clean. I really appreciated that i could relax without worrying that my kids would mess up the place. The interiors were so well done and the place was so well equipped with utensils, first aid box, etc. So much thought has gone into making the place a luxurious destination that I won’t think twice about staying there again.
