Adithi Homestay Spice Garden Restaurant

This home stay is really good if you are planning for one night stay. It's run by a lady. She is nice in nature. The rooms are good but its missing few basic necesseties like Water bottle in rooms, night lamp, combined double bed, AC, etc. The shower was not working properly. The room was too small. No food option for Veg. people here. As she is only the lady, there is no one around to care of things if you need. You can only stay here if you have very low budget or don't want basic luxuries. But overall the stay was good.

We stayed here for 2 days and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The Owner Ms. Rajini herself runs the restaurant and is an excellent cook. You need to inform her 2-3 hours prior and your food is ready on time. Mr. Ravi helped us with Kathakali centre booking and Ms. Rajini arranged Jeep Safari into Periyar Tiger Reserve. I highly recommend this place in Thekkady for a stay as well as dine out.

Hopeless and terrible home stay. The rooms and washrooms are terribly stinky. Power cuts during late nights. They do not have a generator to provide alternative power arrangements. Mosquitoes everywhere. In case of power cuts get ready to experience mosquito bites and stinky smell coming from bathroom. No hot water to take bath during mornings. Overall a terrible place for a stay. Please avoid this stay at all costs!

We stayed in the Adithi homestay for three days. The stay was nice. The owner is nice but doesn't have much staff. Out of three days, our room was only cleaned once because the staff wasn't present. The housekeeping woman didn't really want to do anything and only upon asking did some cleaning. Didn't provide us any toiletries or anything even though we asked. Our sheets weren't changed. Though the stay doesn't include food or even tea, one can order food at the host restaurant spice garden which is downstairs. The fish curry and dal both tasted okay but the quantities provided were less. Less rice for the price, especially as compared to every other place in kerala. One can fill drinking water from downstairs. The higher floor rooms are quiet but monkeys can come anytime. Don't leave the balcony door open unattended. Would request the host to keep some luggage storing space in the room. Overall, a good stay for a day or two.

Very bad experiance. Service was delayed, were not even served water even after asking multiple time. The food serving took more than 1 hour in the name of freshly prepared home food with no taste and when on reorder (because of children and quantity) we asked what will be served quickly and they advise our previous order can be served fast and in that name they just mixed water in left over of earlier preparation and served to us and on our asking they simply said you wanted fast so we added water and served you and shameless staff charged the full for the dish. Will never recommend this to any one PS: Does not have have negative rating otherwise wold have put that

A place of goodness: our best dinner in the 3 weeks of our India trip. The location is not special, but seeing the owner, who is also the waiter, cooking our food in her spotlessly clean kitchen was a treat. All her ingredients were fresh. Coconut rice, pineapple curry and chicken curry were simply excellent. The owner saw our interest in her cooking and explained her recipes. She cooked a Jack fruit dessert that was superb. A caring restaurant owner who definitely loves her work.

Really good fresh food and a wonderful lady preparing it fresh. May take a while but you can be sure that its not warmed up and good quality. Also the view is nice

We had an amazing time here! The location is about a 10 minute walk from the bus stop (from where you can go into the national park), the room is super clean; spacious; has a balcony, and OH man this host can cook!!! Absolutely everything is delicious, really recommend her pineapple curry that was cooked to perfection, and any of the fish dishes! Everything is fresh, clean and coming from a wonderful team of women who are running this place. 1000% recommend
