Osho Beach Resort

Bujji the owner is very wierd. He stared at me all the time and I was on my own. He is not right. His behavior was strange and I do not recommend his place for women. I am from France and I was alone because people tell me India is safe. But staring at a woman is scary for me.

Located couple of minutes walk from the beach this place is beautiful, offers clean and comfortable rooms, free WiFi. Comparing to the cliff (where most of the tourists stay and dine and hence expensive) this spot has more local presence and there are south Indian restaurants serving authentic regional cuisine at a walk-able distance. It is also easy to access the cliff (there is a stairway to the helipad about 5 minutes walk from the resort). Mr. Bujji is a wonderful host who can help you with any local information (Have seen him arranging people authentic Yoga teachers, have guided my to local herbal medicine and spice store, made the room available anytime I (or we) showed up. Since my first visit in March this year, I have visited and stayed on five occasions. Always have met nice, friendly people. On the quiet, little road to the beach, surrounded by Indian almond trees, taro and fern growing rich water earth, a courtyard with jasmines, hammock and swings. The room above Bujji's office is built in carved teak wood in typical Keralan architecture. Hope to coming to this refuge again and again.

My partner and I had booked room 5, which has windows on 3 sides, for 2 weeks but checked out after 3 days (30 Nov to 2 Dec 2017). ||Reason 1||Room and bath/toilet are cleaned and linen changed once a week. ||Reason 2||The shared kitchen was grubby, had just a pan or two for at best boiling water or frying an egg.||Reason 3||Because of the marsh behind the resort, there is a mosquito problem, unique to this property.||These we found out only after check-in. So we scouted around, and found another property - Rose Garden - with a fully functional kitchen, daily house-keeping, and WiFi for just Rs.100 more per night, negotiated because of our longish stay.||Varkala has oodles of accommodation. As a newbie, it is best to to book one night, and scout around the next day. The north cliff may have all the restaurants on the cliff facing the sea, and so the hotels here are pricier. The Papanasam south area, has more value for money accommodation.

This is a budget simple guest house. I really enjoyed the guest house because it is small, has a personality, a hammock, a common lounge areas where I managed to meet other travelers. Very relaxed vibes. ||||Comparing to other guest houses in the area this guest house has a personality.

Cheap rooms,quite clean but the water was smelly. Our stay was pleasant and recommended this place for budget travellers. Varkala beach is clean and the water little bumpy sometimes. The terrace is good for practicing yoga.

This stay is the worst one....Staffs are terrible....I went with my friends and all became disappointed, rooms are worst quality. Bujji is the person who handling this stay, bt he was giving priorities to foreigners only. Never ever want recomendation this stay to anyone!! ever!!!!

As sometimes happens in India, someone likes somebody elses idea and copies it. Osho Beach is actually located in the middle of Candolim beach much to the North. Omistico is the main attraction here for osho lovers. Google map it for real location.

Wow what a fantastic resort in varkala I love that moment which was unforgettable in my precious past the room and service also too very impressive for low cost that is value for money I didn't get anywhere and one more thing have to say they were greeting very friendly with courtesy till I left the resort and I'll suggest to all you can spend value of time to there I'll promise you to all their given entirely fabulous job I couldn't forget that manager(BUJJI) treating me like his own guest that I like too and no more words to say and a if I come again to varkala no place to me the only home of osho beach resort thanks to BUJJI & SREE who were giving precious day to me....
