One of the best homestay in south cliff Varkala. Lying next to costly hotels you get a homestay which is simple yet wonderful. We stayed here for 2 days (October 4-5 2024) The host is a kind man. Got room for a good rate. Rooms are no doubt small but it's worth every penny. There is a bench where you can sit and enjoy beach views all day. I loved that place. The view of beach from here is just amazing. Feels like you have your own private beach. There is no food availability here but there are many great cafes and restaurants just next to it. Overall a highly recommended place if you can adjust in basic life.

The owner is very rude.. he thinks of himself as a warden for a hostel.. he will start the story by telling the rules to be followed to stay there. we have to pay the full room rent while checking in.. otherwise they will ask for it daily. I'll not recommend this to anyone who visits this place seeking peace. They won't receive guests with dignity. It's the cheap and worst option. If you don't want to ruin your vacation means try some nice place out there. They will start bothering you 2 hours before checking out. We tried chilling out in the sea around 9.30 the last day of our stay. They started yelling from the cliff saying 'come and checkout' even though the check-out time is 11. We haven't been allowed to stay 5 mins after that. We booked an auto and left at 11.05

I have stayed here for a day. This is very budget friendly. They are maintaining rooms very clean. You will get a private beach access too. The owner and staff are really good. Will definitely come back when I visit varkala again ❤️

A quaint little property on the south cliff. Offers amazing views of the ocean and is rather perfect for small groups of bachelors. There's no restaurant and so may not be ideal for families.

Highly recommend! It located in quiet area and the view is amazing, you can enjoy sunset. It’s just 3 minutes to get to the beach which is not crowded and it’s nice to swim there. Rooms are simple but clean and price is very reasonable. And I have to say thanks to all the people who work there. They are doing good job.

Worth the money you spend, the caretaker is friendly and helpful. The rooms were total worth of the amount that you pay(pretty cheap). The view from the property is captivating. In the evening, you can even sit and enjoy the sound of the oceans without any need to go the crowded cliff. Overall, if you are looking for a basic stay in Varkala, this one is one of the best available options.

It's a very nice place to stay. The rooms are pretty affordable. Clean and neat beach accessibility from the resort. Very calm place on the south cliff. Beautiful view of the sea from the garden with steps down to a lovely much quieter beach than the main one at North cliff. The owner is amazingly strict in an almost comedy way about his rules but if you just go with it from the start it's fine. Overall the stay was really nice.
