Strictly NOT RECOMMENDED STAY AWAY. it is not run by professionals, rather run by family We can be sympathetic as they earning for living but still…. They are money minded and lacks everywhere Cons: -Charges are very high in comparison to what they are offering. -Exterior looks good but it was below average stay. -Rooms are smelling with cigarette, even i found cigarette boxes and they had not cleaned. -hot water is not working and it was auto cutoff after 2-3 litre. -bed and blankets are very very very cheap quality. -no privacy, you can hear person in other room and to our bad luck bachelors were partying whole night, just to avoid noise we turned on Fan in cold chilling night. -no dedicated parking -bed is small in size and made from metal, you end up touching top or bottom part and it will be extremely cold. Pros: not much -Location is on main road, downhill to Chikmagalur -You have average restaurant operated by same family on GF -food was just above average ( although cost is not justified) -all family is nice except person who handle the finance part.

Honestly, i would prefer to give them zero if i could. Managed by family, but they are only there to suck every penny out of you. The room stinks. The mattress and quilts stinks. They are charging very high prices for a below average stay. I would advise travellers to stay at city center which will give you much better value for your money. The food is obviously overcharged. All in all a pretty bad experience.

worst home stay ever, Initially they agreed for free dinner and breakfast with a discount price of home stay for 900rs per person. Later while check out, they denied for free dinner and breakfast and made bill of approx Rs1550. This is the worst thing they used to do. They will agree for free stuffs and then they will charge you for everything. This is really pathetic. Don't stay here

Really the worst place to stay at night. He manages to know ur language and he make like hes from that place.. Ill make you less come he will say worst room here.. NO PROPER WATER FACILITY... And we will say there is no other room here after... An manage to make you fool... For his rate you can have a ac room little ahead with all facilities Nearby people say that place is not good to stay for some reasons

They’re SCAMSTER. First they promised to provide dinner and breakfast included with stay. They did provide the food but during checkout they started asking for food bill. We confirmed multiple times regarding what’s included and what’s not. We had to call the police and sort out the matter. Please avoid staying here. They’ll just suck every penny out of you and waste a lot a time.

We booked for a couple of days and couldn't be more happy with our stay here. The location is perfect for someone who wants to be near the city center while enjoying the view and serenity of the woods. The food here is okay. The service on point. Good value.

One of the best homestays available in Chikmagalur. The rooms are adequately spacious and equipped with reasonable wifi connectivity. Best part is the food although it is little bit pricy, the food provided were worth every penny. Finally, the host lavakumar, I can honestly say the care, conversations and insights that he had in and around Chikmagalur was amazing and he took us in his own car to sightseeings as we did not get any driver in the weekends.

Giri mandhara homestay is quite better and situated at main road. Location is quite better. it is nearby Chikmagalur and other tourist attractions, can be visited easily. This place has good atmosphere good view and better option to eat. The owner is good. His nature towards his guest is good. Everything is good but price a little bit high,it could be less.
