There is no privacy for the couples. It's good for gang of ppl to halt over the night and leave on early morning. There are no activities neither any other facilities. The place is very dark. But the care takers were really very sweet. Tasty and healthy food was prepared. But we were not happy with place and checked out one day early itself. Not everyday the rooms and place is cleaned. We dint even find a dustbin to throw the biscuits and chips covers. It's not worth the money. We wasted our money .

Edit: Read the property owner response. My one piece of advise: BE CAREFUL WHILE YOU BOOK WITH THESE GUYS. 1. He states that the room size was communicated but it wasn’t. 2. We never insisted on taking this option. On the contrary, we were trying to book a different property when the owner recommended Athigiri homestay are good for couples. 3. The whole reason we ended up here was because he asked us to cancel booking from another one of his properties ‘red rock homestay’. That too, we were not informed about this after booking, we called them after few days of booking to confirm the location when he said we have to cancel. We were here on new years eve. Room was small and there was literally no space for 2 people to move around. The flush in the toilet doesn’t work, we were asked to use the bucket after using the toilet. On the morning of New Years eve, no water since there was no electricity. The person who I spoke to when I made the booking did not give us any such information about place being so small and neither did it match with the photos shared with us. We were charged 2000 per head. I have no complaints about the hosts, they’re friendly and nice. The food was amazing. The 2 stars (initially given but changed after the owners attitude) are for that. But rooms and amenities- poor. I urge everyone to make sure to do your research before falling for such traps. Also you can try homestayadvisor.in to find reliable properties if you are not good at research.

Excellent host. He was very nice and friendly. Rooms are good for a night stay and was clean and tidy. Food was excellent. We stayed for a night and enjoyed our stay

No privacy at all!!! The care taker were really sweet. The food was very tasty and also healthy. No issues or complaints regarding them. The problem is there is no privacy for the couple to stay. It's good for a gang of ppl to stay over the night and leave early morning. There is not even a single dustbin in the room or in the bathroom. The place is very lonely and dull. The walls are just like hospital white walls with no decore on it. And most importantly the care takers were not informed about us arriving. It happened the same with the other family too.. neither their arrival was informed to the care taker. There were 10 ppl all of sudden and the food was prepared for only 4 members. The care taker prepared the food asap. (Very sweet of them). There are no activities nor any facilities as mentioned in there website. It's definitely not worth the money we paid. We checked out one day early as we were really not happy with stay.

Good old estate home. Perfect Malnad setting homestay. Rooms are quite decent for the price you pay. Location is naturistic and has a lot of privacy. Food is home cooked and yummy. Anil (owner) is an unbelievable awesome host. Highly flexible check-in timings. Looking forward to my third visit.

Rooms are ok ok, the price per person is very high compared to other stays. Even though we informed them 4 times regarding food to be prepared in advance, they served other food. Not well managed. (Stayed on 24th,25th this month)

It was too bad. Looked so unclean. Old and broken cots. Unclean bed. We dont even have water there. No kitchen||Only if the care taker comes you will have someone to communicate. Otherworldly you would be left alone
