Tantraa Homestay

We had a great time staying at Tantraa homestay. Babu was a great guy and helped us out with organising what we wanted to do in Kochi - including sorting the booking of a Keralan dance show for us. He also recommended restaurants and things to do / see which was very helpful. The room was as shown and was lovely and clean. The location was pretty good with a 10/15 minute walk to the Chinese fishing nets. Overall would definitely recommend if you’re looking for somewhere budget friendly with a nice relaxed feel.

Great location in Fort Cochin. My room was comfortable and clean. The most clean room I had during my stay in India. Great value. The staff is helpful and super friendly. Babu, the owner, is the best. There is a common kitchen but no kitchen service when I was there although they have a menu. The rooftop terrace is a wonderful place to hang out.

What a lovely place! Great value for a cozy, clean homestay with a very nice owner. Stayed two nights -- great location, walking distance to charming Fort Kochi attractions but also a little set back from the action so it's quiet and peaceful. Comfortable and relaxing common area with cute little touches. Very clean! Stayed there with my eight year old daughter and she loved it as well. Would highly recommend.

My best stay in India so far, the owner knows the place, is most helpful, gives advice, plans your trip if you wish and treats you like a friend. They offer both traditional built rooms and standard rooms with air condition at the best price. Some people stay there for months for a good reason. I felt like home. Thanks for everything.

Stayed there for three 2eeks and had a lovely relaxed time. After traveling India for some months I needed a quiet and friendly place to rest my bones, and tantra was perfect. Babu the owner is very nice, the room was large, clean and had everything, the shared kitchen was perfect and the neighborhood quiet but still central. I would highly recommend staying here!

I travelled to kochi on a solo trip 2 years ago and I'm only just writing a review as tbh I'm useless with stuff like that - but felt I had to sign up to trip advisor and better late than never.. write how lovely my stay was!||Babu, was so lovely and helpful- he went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable, authentic and that I got to see the true local side to the area! He took me around in his tuk tuk and we collected fresh prawns from the market so I could cook a traditional curry that evening. There's lots to see and do in the area and as a single female travelling, I felt safe and secure during my whole time staying here. The room was an ac room and was fairly basic but very spacious and clean. Clearly from reading the recent reviews standards here have slipped and I'd be than happy to return!

I stayed here in 2017 and I have to say I would recommend and I definitely plan to stay here again if I ever come back to kochi! I found for the price the room/apartment I stayed in was amazing. Very spacious and in a quiet area! This place is close to a lot of tourist things and the owners were also very friendly and helpful when booking the boat trip on the backwaters! Lovely experience. Overall this place is a good find and definitely somewhere clean and safe to stay for a good price.

we had a great stay in our spacious, clean and cozy room. what makes the place really special is the beautiful shared space right under the roof with a fully equipped kitchen and everything you need. it is perfect to hang out and relax or meet new people and get inspired. ||the staff was as nice as helpful and we will be happy to visit again some day. thank you!
