Peacock Inn

We arrived without a booking and were immediately accommodated. We ended up staying five nights because Indira and Ajesh were so helpful and the breakfasts were delicious. Indira is a fantastic cook and a lovely friendly lady. Ajesh too is keen to help and made us feel welcome. The room and bathroom are very clean and the house is newly fitted out. The rooms have a good quiet fan and air conditioning at a very reasonable price. The house itself is set back from the main street so quiet. It is a good location because all rickshaw drivers know the Bishops House which is just up the road.

We had orignally booked a room in anothe guesthouse, but upon arrival, we were taken to Peacock Inn due to overbooking. As this was in the middle of the night, we were not too happy about the situation, especially since it was muc further from the city center than the original guesthouse.mthe next day, however,mee discoverd that the area is really nice and is in fact not far at all, a ten-minute walk from the center.||||The guesthouse is run by Indira, a lovely lady who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. We basically had a whole house to ourselves : two rooms for 4 people, plus livingroom and kitchen. Indira usually spent the night there and cooked us fantastic breakfasts every morning: a different taste for every day. ||||The rooms were very nice, clean and spacious. The only recommendation I would have is to bring your own mosquito net as there were loads of mosquitoes: we bought one in a store downtown and that made life much easier.||||I highly recommend this place, as it really has a homestay feel to it, unlike many other places in Kochi. Indira and hr son deserve to be on the list of best homestays. Thanks a lot for a great time!

We had a wonderful stay Indra and her son Ajesh are fantastic hosts warm attentive and caring making us feel like part of the family in their home. Indrsa breakfasts are delicious home cooked Keralan food and I enjoyed watching the evening game show Sell me the answer with her great fun and our language limitations were no barrier to enjoying our time there. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom.

This home stay guest house is beautiful and the owners (mum and son) are really friendly and helpful. The room is just what we needed and has en suite bathroom. It's so clean and they make you a huge breakfast at your prefered time in the morning. It's set back from the main road so is pretty quiet but is a 10 minute walk to the beach or main town. Wifi is good and worked in our bedroom too. The son gave us a lift to the train station for half the price of a taxi. All in all a great stay, would definitely recommend and price was good too :)

Indira was absolutely lovely and made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was something different each morning and always tasty, really great home stay me and my girlfriend would highly recommend!

Liked the ambience and the staff of the hotel is excellent. Ajesh was an exemplary guide and help during our visit to Kochi. ||Loved the heavenly food especially the appam and stew.||All in all , a fantastic place to stay especially due to its value for money rates ( best in kochi).||Will surely again visit when I come to Kochi again.

Close to town. Clean room, hot water, air conditioning if you want it, fan also. Comfortable bed. Plenty of plugs to charge cameras etc.|Most of all, the family are lovely people and made it a perfect stay for us. Would recommend highly.
