Gokulam Home Stay

Pathetic and embarrassing hotel staff. Denied booking at last moment after taking advance payment saying there child looks for bookings and the parents sit in reception and say they don't have rooms and son is not picking the phone. What a miscommunication amongst the staff and they are not ready to speak on calls too nor they want to give any clarification!!! At night time during peak season we were searching hotel!

Nice ambience like our home. My wife also so enjoyed with chilling cold and we also enjoyed in common balcony. It's really amazing stay for us. And I also recommend you to stay here . Flowers also very blooming up in morning time. Don't miss to stay here ,while you come to munnar.

Nice & quiet location you can easily loose track of the days here! You’ll need a scooter or be prepared for a few tuk tuk rides. It’s half hour from munnar town but that doesn’t matter it’s still in the heart of the tea fields. There’s a decent restaurant within walking distance and a chocolate factory outlet👍 we booked the cheapest room in the main house but were offered a bungalow out the back at a reduced rate which was well worth it. Brand new & everything worked perfectly, the setting when sat on your balcony is so peaceful, top marks for the layout 👍

This place is very beautiful though very far from Munnar city. Nice three beautiful cottages build in the back yard.||Pros: |1. Since the rooms are new it was very nice and clean, with clean bathrooms.|2. The ambience was great, the cottages looked just out of a fairytale.|3. Sunil the caretaker is really helpful he can guide you around very well.||Cons:|1. Very far from the market place. Will definitely need a car for transport.|2. When we visited the cook was on leave so couldn’t get any home food .||In all it’s beautiful place to visit. I booked through booking.com so I paid almost double the cost. You can find better rates if you book direct.||

I stayed with my Mom recently! I was very skeptical before visiting the place! But after visiting me and my mom was very happy! We really liked the cozy room with a giant glass window!! We liked their hospitality! And also they really provide tasty tasty breakfast ❤️

We had a nice stay at Gokulam home stay. The owner and his wife were very helpfull. The location of the homestay is a bit far from Munnar but there is a busstop if you walk 20 min. The hot water was also limited. Other than that, What you see is what you get!

We had perfect honeymoon stay there. Owner uncle was very kind and friendly. I will prefer to stay only at gokulam when ever I go to Munnar.

Upon arrival our host was quite unfriendly, as if we were doing something wrong by staying in his home stay, which set the scene for our stay. However, he was very kind to our driver. Ourcommodation was alright- the room was clean and the bed was comfortable BUT there was no hot water. Value-for-money, we have had much nicer places for the same money or less.
