NillNestled amidst a sprawling tea estate, the Wattle Grove Resort offered me and my family a rejuvenating escape into the lap of pristine nature, far from the hustle and bustle of city life. We chose Wattle Grove Resort for a quiet family getaway, and our experience was truly memorable. The accommodation is simple yet spotless, with no-nonsense decor that emphasizes comfort and cleanliness. The staff (special mention-Tangaraj and Raja) are warm, cordial, and always ready to assist, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. Meals at the resort are homely and comforting, providing that wonderful “home away from home” feeling. One of the highlights was sitting on our balcony, sipping tea while watching the sunrise over the hills and forests. We enjoyed observing the local wildlife, including Gaurs grazing nearby, and my husband even spotted a peacock and a rabbit. Exploring the tea plantations on foot and taking the scenic drive through the forest to the Kodanadu viewpoint—recommended by the staff—were truly cherished experiences. Along the way, we were delighted to see a dancing peacock, adding a magical touch to our journey. The staff also arranged a cab for our sightseeing trip to Ooty. Our friendly driver (Shanmuga sundaram) shared fascinating insights about local places and traditions, enriching our visit. When we wanted to buy fresh strawberries and forest honey, the staff kindly connected us with reliable local sources, where we found the sweetest, juiciest strawberries and authentic honey. Given the chance, I would gladly return to Wattle Grove Resort for another vacation, simply to unwind and rejuvenate in this serene and beautiful setting.

NillExcellent location with 0 noise.. we stayed in sunshine room which has excellent view.. no negative when it comes to room and location and services.. everyone were so polite and helpful Only cons are the food.. the complementary breakfast is not that good.. no tea coffe included in the complementary breakfast and u have to pay for it.. dinner is ok. Could be better for that price.. apart from that everything is perfect..

NillWe stayed at Wattle Grove Resort recently, booking one 2-bedroom unit and one 1-bedroom unit. The 2-bedroom unit was spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed it. However, the 1-bedroom unit was disappointing – it was too small, lacked basic facilities (table, shelves/lockers, side tables, coffee/tea bags, cups, etc.), and became hot in the morning due to the sheet roofing. Breakfast was tasty but had very limited options, and even for basic needs we had to call room service. The kids’ play area is also very minimal and could be improved. Overall, the property ambience is good, but the 1-bedroom unit in the lower deck does not meet expectations. With better facilities, more variety in food, and improved amenities, the guest experience could be much better.

NillGreat stay. Great location. Probably among the most beautiful tea plantations of Kotagiri itself. Staff and service is appreciable. Always there to help you out. I was there for 2 nights, suggestion to change the menu a little for complimentary breakfasts. Also, please send only male staffs to help with luggage. Does not feel right for a female that too an elderly to be sharing this responsibility.

NillOur Stay: 19th – 21st September 2025 1. Beautiful Location & Property – The resort is set right in the middle of expansive tea gardens, giving a serene and refreshing vibe. It’s a relatively new property (about 1.5 years old), and the surroundings are just wonderful. 2. Unique Experiences – The management went the extra mile by arranging a visit to their tea factory and mushroom greenhouse, which was a great value-add to our stay. 3. Food – Though the menu is limited, the food served is simple, homely, and satisfying. 4. Hospitality – The staff is extremely attentive and genuinely committed to making guests comfortable. Kudos to the team! It could be much better with some trained staff. 5. Room & Accommodation – We stayed in a unit perfect for four people: two spacious bedrooms (each with attached balconies overlooking the tea gardens), a living room, and a cozy first-floor area. It was just fantastic. 6. Amenities – Items such as a room heater, extra towels, kettle, and hair dryer were only provided on the second day upon request. It would be much better if these were already available in the rooms as part of standard preparation. 7. Indoor Games – The property has some indoor games like carrom and table tennis, but unfortunately the equipment is quite old and broken, making them unusable. This is an area that needs attention if the resort wants to promote recreation options. 8. Scope for Improvement – Maintenance can be improved. We noticed issues with some bathroom fittings, and the common washroom had an unpleasant smell. 9. Marketing & Occupancy – For such a lovely property, occupancy seemed low. Better marketing could really help them attract more guests. 10. Overall Recommendation – Despite minor issues, this is a gem of a place. It’s away from the hustle and bustle, set in a serene environment, and we’d definitely recommend it. We’d love to come back

NillStayed on 23 and 24th of April 2025. Excellent resort located away from buzzling Kotagiri. Its about 10 kms away from Kotagiri via Kaikatti on the way to Sholurmattam. The estates enroute and the roadside is dotted with Gaur (Indian Bison). Good chance to see these magnificent Bovines upclose ! The resort is located in Kilmelfort Tea Estate that produces Pramas brand of tea. The final stretch of about 1km is very narrow and just one vehicle can pass through. Parking facilities are yet to be upgraded though. Special mention : Mr. Raja and Mr. Krishnan who are very interactive with guests and are very courteous. As there were no other guests around i was fortunate to be alone in the very well 1BR accomodation which has a beautiful balcony facing the greenery. The washroom and the room was very well maintained and clean. Some facilities need to be upgraded though. Tasty food is wrapped neatly in alu foil and served in the room as well. Definitely recommend this place to rejuvenate one's self.
