Samiksha's Nest Inn

I had a memorable stay here with my family. Beautifully nestled hills are clearly visible from the resort. I should convey heartfelt thanks to Mr Pradeep who took great care of us, starting from serving delicious breakfast, home cooked food to suggesting scenic places around. Only issue one may face is the connecting road to the property, it might get challenging during rainy days especially if you are traveling with a hatchback. I would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to or around Ooty.

Great place to spend time near Kotagiri. Awesome views and affordable for families with 10-15. Off road which connects main road and resort is little risky to ride up and down other than that this place is awesome. Pradeep the care taker was kind person and supports with all kind of service and food requirements in the premises. Owner should look after the off-road which connects Kattabedu main road and resort, during rain fall this 1KM stretch is highly risky.

Had a pleasant stay here recently. Everything was spicy and spam. Care taker Mr. Pradeep was very accommodative and very good cook as well, we enjoyed our stay and food. Good location and we spotted bison was well. Mr. Pradeep has good connect in that area and he guides you well for local travel as well.

One of the best homestays near Coonoor & Kottagiri which is far from noise . The last 300 meters road is challenging but Alto is also going on the same road so there shouldn't be any issue. The view is beautiful and the best part is the caretaker Pradeed who will never say no to any request . The food served was delicious. Breakfast is complimentary and dinner is chargeable with order . 4 rooms(1 in ground and 3 on the 1st floor) , 3 of them having attached toilets and the other one is without any toilet . Some 20-25 stiff stairs but manageable if you are habituated of using stairs till first floor . Would love to come back again. Scope of improvement: Please fit a wash basing on the ground floor or near the kitchen . The homestay is clean but can be cleaner .

We were a family group of 8 taking the entire home.. it's a friendly team running this place... House is clean with ample space. Jagadeesh (owner) is available to explain any queries before travel including how to plan the trip. Pradeep is on the ground.. He is all in all from cooking to cleaning. Very soft person who tries his best to get things done. He is also upfront if something is challenging. We are vegetarian. What we were looking for is a simple food with certain diet restrictions. Pradeep was able to make them to his best capabilities. He also allowed us inside kitchen to make any adjustments. House has a scenic view and Bisons can be easily spotted. Nearest bus stand is Westbrook which is 1.2 km away.. part is muddy steep path and remaining is highway with speeding vehicles. You can take public transport to ooty/coonoor etc only if you are willing to walk... Otherwise there is a dependency on local cabs. Pradeep has contact of local vehicles but rate could be based on the demand... avoid walking other than day time due to animal crossing... Some suggestions > setup wifi connection.. we don't get good mobile data speed > arrange shuttle to Westbrook bus stand - can even be chargeable like Rs. 250 per trip. I have seen some homestays in other hilly areas do it... may be Pradeep learns car driving too 😊

Had a pleasant overnight stay with my friends. It can accommodate a 12-14 large crowd easily. Must thank the owner Jagadish and Pradeep.

This stay is at a very scenic location. It's surrounded by tea estates in the front. It has good accessibility as it's nearer to the ooty-kotagiri highway. The rooms are hygienic and overall the duplex house is well maintained. They have a separate food menu with a separate pricing with good options. They have a separate chef and they serve the food on time to the stay. Food was good. Espclly the complimentary tiffin and chicken barbeque were great. The owner was gentle in interactions on phone and the caretaker Mr.Pradeep was extremely hospitable and catered to our needs. Bonfire could be charged a little less. Looking forward to visit again sometime again.
