Woodstock Ooty

It is a heritage home more than 100 yrs old, with antique furniture. The location is awesome, you get an amazing view of the town, very close to the city centre. Family accommodation consisting of two large double bedrooms with 400 sft living room ..also two individual double bedrooms one with a childrens room and bunker bed in it. So even a large crowd like 10 people can be accommodated here. The rooms are large and spacious. 24 hrs hot and cold water available. There is a garden with sit out place. It is like a mini resort. Since we were a couple with our 10yr old son, we took the double bed single room. Extra matress was available. Extra blankets are stacked in the cupboards. The hosts, the James family are highly educated people but a very easy and happy couple to spend time with. Uncle having stayed here for many years has a good knowledge of Ooty, we took his guidance to roam around the place. Please be prepared to manage your food requirements, swiggy and zomato deliver, else climb down the hill and you have an array of restaurants. Ample tea, coffee and milk powder sachets along with a hot water kettle are kept in every room and replenished every day. We enjoyed our 3 days stay here, undisturbed by the noise and clutter of the town, recommend this place for families to stay.

Our stay at Woodstock Homestay was brief but delightful. This charming and beautiful place is located conveniently close to Ooty town and main scenic spots. What truly surprised us was the room which had an aesthetically minimalist design, paired with a vintage charm that made every corner picture-perfect (the high ceiling is an added charm ). The walk from the homestay to nearby tourist spots is a treat, with easy access to several attractions. Surrounded by nature, it’s an ideal retreat for families and couples looking to explore Ooty. A big thanks to Daphne Aunty and James Uncle for their wonderful hospitality. We left with many fond memories and a word to go back to this place again. :)

Though we stayed in Ooty for just a day, the 2night stay at Woodstock Homestay was amazinggg. The place is so huge and spacious, it can easily accomodate a large family. We reached here around 8PM and the roads were dark with no street lights. The location is around 3kms away from bus depot and Mrs. James guided the driver to the location very patiently. They also followed up frequently asking if we have reached Ooty and where we were which is very sweet. The bathrooms had geysers n required toiletries. Milk, coffee powder, an electric Kettle and a few glasses n plates were provided in the kitchen room. There were enough quilts n blankets on the bed and in the cupboard, they also gave us extra mattress as we planned the stay for 7 pax. Mr. James also shared us the numbers of tours n travels on request for showing us Ooty. Highly recommended homestay

We had very bad experience. Mr James was very rude to us. He dint even repay our balance amount. Place was very unsafe. I strongly not recommend this place.

Best place to stay in Ooty.Nice location and rooms are too good with all provisions (TV ,Fridge, Kettle, Heater,Wifi etc).Nice to enjoy.

We booked a room through a phone call, The house offers ample space for a relaxing area. The rooms are neat,clean,and kid-friendly. Overall, it was a fantastic stay experience.
