Sinna Dorai's Upper Paralai Bungalow

Beautiful Property… very scenic location inside the tea estate. The Bunglow is around 100yrs old but very well maintained. Loving the stay here!

Had a fun time in sinna dorai with my wife and kid. Nice spacious rooms, we loved the architecture and interior of the British bungalow. Timely food which was delicious. They prepared special food for the kid. The night walk from room to dining was fun and adventurous. The best part was the early morning sunrise with mist and bids chirping outside the bunglow. Joel was a great host, briefed us a lot about the property and he was a very knowledgeable person. We went up the hill for a 30 min hike which was lovely too.

We had booked the Sinnadorai’s Valparai upper paralai bungalow for 20-22 July. Unfortunately there was a death in the family and we could not make it. Since it was within 6 days , we were going to lose the entire amount. We requested them to move the booking till August first week. They refused saying we could only move till end of July. Yes, we know rules and procedures exist, but you expect people to make exceptions for extraordinary circumstances… That is why we are human beings. Very unhappy and disappointed with the management

After 40 hairpin bends and a 3-hour road journey from Coimbatore Airport, we arrived at Sinna Dorai's Bungalow. It is a further 5 kms uphill drive to the Bungalow after we turned off the main road into the estate. The staff at the Bungalow are very hospitable and nice. The welcome drink - iced lemon tea from the tea grown at another of their estates in Valparai was very refreshing and was like a prelude to our refreshing vacation at Sinna Dorai's Bungalow ||We enjoyed the quiet and solitude, the fresh air and chirping of birds. There are 6 rooms/cottages. Two rooms in the main bungalow, two cottages a few steps away from the main Bungalow and two cottages further down which would require some walking. There are convenient timings for meals at the restaurant in the main bungalow. Food is delicious and homely with large servings. ||This is a destination to rest and refresh. If one is looking for a place full of activities and things to do, then this may not be the place. We were in the middle of a working tea estate where there is plenty of flora and fauna. These are the elements we enjoyed and did not step out of the estate the entire time we were there.||Our thanks to Surabhi for helping us with our reservations and responding to our queries. Murugan, Joel, Kalai, Jhansi, Davam and the rest of the staff were there to take care of us. We felt at home!||We hope to come back some day and also visit their other properties.

This place takes you literally to the top of the world. Views are excellent. Valparai is hidden gem . Surabhi the property manager is very friendly and all the staff are courteous. Food by cook Asirvadham is very home style , simple and tasty unlike those spreads in hotels. . Forget your gadgets and listen to the birds. Great place to be with family. Joel , Kalai and Murugan were always eager to help and show around the places. It’s a huge estate with little streams inside the property. Bird watching, animal spotting , everything was wonderful. 100% One would want to come again to this place . Pls plan atleast two days in this place.

5/5 Location - This was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. This location falls perfectly in the middle of a tea plantations & a misty environment in the mornings & evenings, so it felt magical. Rooms have a great view & different kinds of birds chirping around you. Network is not great in the area, but they have wifi in common spaces. It's a good getaway from technology & city life. 5/5 Hospitality - From the moment we stepped in & till we left the Bungalow, the staff were extremely hospitable. They helped us with everything we needed, including a guide who took us to some beautiful locations around the estate which had a water stream, falls, animals, etc. Best part was my birthday celebration. They had arranged a room full of flowers & also a very yummy home baked cake for us even though we had just asked for a cake, which we thought was difficult to get in that area. That entire experience was wholesome. 5/5 Rooms & Facility - The common spaces & rooms were very well maintained even though the building has existed for so many decades. Rooms, bathrooms, cots were all very clean & neat. 5/5 Food - Every meal was kind of a 3 course meal. Their fish fry & Coconut souffle was my favourite among all, even though I would say every item was delicious. Meal timings are fixed, but they were flexible in serving us based on our needs as well.

Superb place to have a relaxing weekend. Excellent service. Great scenic views. Chances of spotting wild animals bison leopard. Night safari was awesome. Murugan our guide was excellent. Updating the review points on room as we had some issues

A great location one of the stops on a motorcycle tour of Kerala. The food was superb and the staff extremely helpful and friendly, also had possibly the funniest health and safety briefing I've ever had, watch out for sloth bears. The bed was the most comfortable of the trip.
