Had a comfortable 2 day stay with what is a unique experience in the surrounding area. Hiking to the homestay can be a bit challenging to some but it is definitely worth it. Surrounded by fruiting trees and complete peace will make you appreciate the beauty of Garhwal even more while overlooking the mountain ranges from the homestay.

We had an amazing time here. That place is great and the family is very nice and makes sure you have everything. I enjoyed the quiet and the nature after a long stay in Rishikesh. Great food 3 times a day (all salty) - I personally just missed fruits and sweet things - if you need that as well I would recommend to bring yourself cookies or what you like. Hope to be back one day.

A Perfect Retreat in the Mountains Staying at Chalo Daanda Homestay was one of the best decisions we made on this trip. Jitendra bhai is an incredible host—warm, welcoming, and always ready to go the extra mile to ensure guests have a great experience. The food here is something special, made from fresh, organically grown vegetables right from their farm. Every meal tasted like home. But what truly sets this place apart is the connection with nature. Jitendra bhai knows the surrounding forests like the back of his hand. He took us on a guided trail, sharing stories about the flora, fauna, and local life. The peace and quiet here are unmatched. If you’re looking to escape the city rush and breathe in the fresh mountain air, this is the place to be!

For me Chalo Daanda is paradise. Completely immersed in nature, between the mountains, living with the family and in harmony with the surrounding. I recommend staying here if you are looking for peace, purity and adventure! The best things in life are the ones where we go the extra mile. Rent a scooty, drive through the Himalayas and stay here. 10/10 experience ❤️ Thank you Jitendra!

My mom and i searched for an authentic family homestay, we arrived to “Chalo Daanda forest farm Homestay ,Nailbagi chamba Tehri gather uttrakhand” and this was definitely the best decision! First of all the place is so beautiful and peaceful, in the middle of a powerful Himalaya mountain and the view is incredible. The family is extremely warm and kind, Jitendra Singh takes care of everything, very kind and caring, and does everything possible to make us feel at home and comfortable. Jitendra Singh is very connected to the harmony of humans & nature as well as the eco system, and hes very knowledgable in herbal medicine. Thank you Jitendra Singh we appreciate everything! 🌄🪵🏔️ The room made by wood and mud - is very cute, cozy and clean. There is a very cute dog and and few cows and the environment of that pure simple life made us stay few more days then what we had even planned.. The food is soooo yummy, healthy and almost everything comes from their own farm- 100% organic and fresh.🥦🥕🥬🍛🫓 We went to a trip in the forest, we watched all different kinds of birds, with so many different types of trees surrounding us. He took us to eat in another farm and we had th opportunity to connect with so many beautiful people around us, everyone was so welcoming and kind. While staying at the home we got to see the daily routine of a farm life and that was an amazing and special experience. 🩵🦋🙌🏼 If you're looking for an authentic homestay its definitely the one for you🙏🏼

A Hidden Gem in the Hills I had the most soul-soothing stay at Chalo Daanda Homestay. The moment you step in, you feel at home. The rooms are cozy, the blankets are warm, and the silence of the mountains is magical. The best part? The food! Fresh, organic, and prepared with so much love—it’s simple but absolutely delicious. Jitendra bhai is not just a host; he’s a storyteller, a guide, and a wonderful human being. He took us on an unforgettable forest walk, where we learned about medicinal plants, local wildlife, and the history of the region. This place is not just a homestay; it’s an experience. I came here looking for a break, and I left feeling reconnected with nature and myself.

This place is not short of any paradise. Jittu bhai takes care of you like his own family. The property is situated almost on top of the mountain (trek of 30-40mins but it’s all worth it), with stunning sunrise views, moon views, Tehri lake view, Himalayan range view. If you go just a lil more uphill, sunset views too! Yes, it’s really a paradise. The property is built for experience and is super close to nature. You can even go for treks and birding! The rooms are clean and hygienic. All amenities are provided as much as possible. Jittu bhais family and his dog and bull lives there itself. It will make you feel that you’re living with local pahaadis, enjoying their local cuisine (Seema Aunty makes delicious food). The best part is that they have their own organic farm so the your meals are farm to plate literally. The second best part was rosemary, lemongrass and chamomile tea <3 If you’re someone who loves to be absolutely amidst nature, listen to birds, enjoy shaanti; If you always wanted to stay on top of the mountain like you’ve a home there, this place is definitely for you.
