Family Homestay

I am someone who would never exaggerate about anything. So, the readers can rely on this review, take a leap of faith and stay at this homestay whenever they visit Kurseong. The basics are more than perfect — warm, hospitable ambience, neat and clean, no smell or damp, pretty decor, photogenic common space, a couple of view rooms, lovely view of Kanchenjunga from the terrace. The food is homely and in perfect amount. We were 6 and it was more than enough. We also had extra to feed a kid of 2 years from the share. We specifically asked for non-spicy food and they made sure it was. They always ask your preference and after every meal, the owner called up to ask if the food was fine. I found that very kind of him. The location is great. Very close to the railway station and the cars will drop you right at the door. All the sightseeing spots can be easily availed from here. What is most amazing is the hospitality of the owner, his son and his sister. We had reached very early. They made sure we still get to check in early, guided us throughout the way and even offered to help with the luggage. They provided extra blankets when we asked, newspaper, and free tea in the morning when we were leaving. Uncle also filled our bottles from his home and didn't charge anything . Certain things cannot be calculated with money. You will get that kind of cordial hosts and a good chat from time to time. Really glad and will always come back to this homestay, whenever that happens.

Very nice and cosy homestay located at only 5 mins wallk from kurseong railway station. Hosts were very welcoming and courteous. We had a very pleasant stay with families. Also the rooms were neat and spacious. The bathroom was western style with geyser and there was running water available all the time. Definitely worth staying if you're in kurseong. If the weather is right, you can even spot mt Kanchanjungha from the roof.

Our stay there was fantastic! The rooms are pretty good and space-y and the bathrooms are top notch! Most of all, our host/owner was a complete gentlemen who made us a fine tea himself when the staff was not available, one early morning. 10/10 would visit again!

We trusted them and reserved accommodations for 8 members of our group, however, they are a fraud. When we arrived, they tried to offer us a room that was not reserved over the phone by us, but when we insisted on getting the room we reserved, they gave it to us. It was eight girls that left us in the middle of the night at 3:30 in the morning while we were heading to Tiger Hill. We voluntarily cooperated with them because they claimed that someone close to them had passed away and that they would move us to a better hotel so that we wouldn't have any problems. Instead of moving us to a hotel, they have shown us a homestay that was extremely out of the way, way up the hill, and in bad condition. In addition to the scam they committed, the homestay itself is in such bad shape. It lacks sanitation, hygiene, a working geyser, a room heater, and service. The complementary food they promised was also of extremely poor quality and quantity. It is also rather far from the main market. Dont Go Here at all.

It's feel like homey atmosphere. Outstanding hospitality and loveable persons. Rooms are just superb.Both good quantity and quality of food it's very much delicious.peaceful place and you will feel that . I want to rate this homestay 5 out of 5

The property is a 5min walk from Kurseong railway station and the main market. It has a very beautiful view of the valley. The host Mr. Kunal and his parents are very warm and hospitable. Kunal arranged our tour there and also helped us in our onward journey to Darjeeling. The guide cum driver - Anup who showed us around Kurseong was also a very knowledgeable and helpful. He even helped us in our shopping. The food available at the property is finger licking. The cook Mr. Suren prepared for us whatever we wanted to eat. The host also provided us good discount in food. All in all, the hospitality of Family Homestay is really touching and will make you fall in love with the place. We were 6 people, and all of us recommend everyone to stay there.

Room is not clean smell is coming from the room. I found a Empty liquor bottle in the cupboard.bathroom was not clean.during dinner food was served less upon asking for more rice the staff said rice is cooked less today.for drinking water the owner Kunal told you have to drink tab water or you have to buy water.while checking out nobody bothered to carry the luggage downstairs and knowing that we have a car coming at 9 in the morning they served the breakfast at 9.15 that omlette also salty.dont visit this homestay there are good homestays try to find those.
