LAVA Feathers India Homestay

This is a marvelous homestay. The owner Mr. Tara Rai is a keen bird watcher and a very good guide. His wife prepares food for the guests. The quality and taste of food is excellent. The rooms are good, clean and have a great view. The location is at one end of the small town. So raw nature is only next to the property. Both Tara and his wife are always keen to serve the guests with optimum care.

Lava Feathers India is famous for bird watching.. You can take some rare species from its balcony. Mr. Tara Rai himself is a Birding guide and archery champion. For non birders or normal tourists the coocking of Mrs. Rai (Didi) is awesome that makes you feel like home. Samir Rai, son of Mr.Tara Rai can also helps you on birding. This homestay is situated at the terminal point at Lava besides Neoravalley entry gate. Enjoy Didi's delicious coocking and nearby momo and tea stalls out side shacks. So so. Had a stay 1.5 years back. Not whole geyser availability. Cook was good. Owner not easy to deal

We stayed here as a group of 13 for a couple of nights. The rooms and toilets are neat and clean, and the staff is very accommodating. They served homely and tasty food as per what we requested. The location makes it easily accessible and it has a great view of the local hills and pine forests. If the skies are clear, one may catch a glimpse of Kanchenjunga's peak from the balcony. Overall, we had a good experience.

The support staff is amazing and welcoming - food is great and timely. A place filled with good people which ensures good memories.
