The Feathers India Homestay is a wonderful place with extremely comfortable and large rooms and a very hospitable host. The location is great right next to the Neora Valley National Park. The support staff is amazing and welcoming - food is great and timely. A place filled with good people which ensures good memories.

We stayed here as a group of 13 for a couple of nights. The rooms and toilets are neat and clean, and the staff is very accommodating. They served homely and tasty food as per what we requested. The location makes it easily accessible and it has a great view of the local hills and pine forests. If the skies are clear, one may catch a glimpse of Kanchenjunga's peak from the balcony. Overall, we had a good experience.

good rooms, perfect location just beside Kolbong Forest entrance; service is a bit slow, but the owners are extremely amiable and accommodating

In all aspects it was a good stay for 4 days. Rishov Pal and his team takes good care of us. The rooms offer great view and from the balcony the Kanchenjanga is visible, there is enough parking space and the food was deliciously cooked. A Full 5 stars to Lava Feathers India Homestay.

Amazing place to stay in Lava. Best place for birders and people who love nature and peace. As a birder I will go in detail of what I loved most, first of all there is a bird bath and food is put out, this brings rare and elusive birds which would take a long trek to get good pictures of. The view is amazing. Multiple species can be seen from the balcony itself including owls. We birded with a person managing the homestay, Mr. Tara Rai. We birded a lot together, he is a very jovial person and amazing to bird with. Other than that rooms are very clean, the food is just like back at home. Anybody can enjoy living here.
