I recently stayed at Hotel mitra Stay for two nights and had an overall excellent experience. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, clean, and modern, with a comfortable bed and a great city view. I especially appreciated the complimentary coffee and well-stocked minibar. The bathroom was pristine, with high-quality toiletries and good water pressure in the shower. The hotel’s location is ideal—within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and public transport. I also tried their on-site restaurant for breakfast, which was delicious and reasonably priced. The only downside was the slightly noisy street traffic at night, so light sleepers might want to request a room on a higher floor. Overall, I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and would definitely stay here again.

I stayed there for only one day. The room was fine, but there was no power backup—not even for a second. During a blackout, it was completely dark, making it impossible to move around. Since I was working from home (WFH), I had to use my phone’s flashlight and hotspot to finish my work. I had a morning cab scheduled for 4 AM, so I needed to change my phone to call the driver. After that, I had to charge my phone using my laptop. As for the kitchen, they had no cooking gas since morning, so they weren’t taking any orders. After finishing my work, I wandered around searching for food. At this point, it would have been better to stay at The Hosteller, Zostel, or any other hostel. The mattresses were covered in cat hair. At first, I didn’t understand why something was sticking to my phone screen, but later I realized that the hostel’s cat had been sleeping on the beds.

The property’s location is great, but it’s the people — especially Parin Shah and Nima — who truly make it special. Their hospitality and energy bring a unique charm to the place. The facilities and atmosphere are equally wonderful. You should definitely check it out!

What a beautiful Stay at Mitra Hostel! My experience at Mitra Hostel in McLeodganj was truly unforgettable. The dormitories were clean, neat, and super comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home. The ambience of the place is aesthetic and peaceful—perfect for travelers looking to relax and soak in the mountain vibes. What made the stay even more special was the incredibly friendly staff. I genuinely loved interacting with them—they were warm, helpful, and made everyone feel welcome. A special mention to Garfield, the hostel cat, who was so friendly and shant, he added an extra layer of calmness to the place! I also got the chance to meet some amazing people—Parin and Kinjal, who are now dear friends. It's the kind of place where you walk in as a solo traveler and leave with connections and memories. The views from the rooftop were to die for i absolutely loved it, I wish I could extend the stay for more days but definitely gonna visit again! And yes, the food was absolutely delicious—every meal felt like comfort food made with love. If you're visiting McLeodganj, I’d highly recommend staying at Mitra Hostel. It’s not just a place to stay, it's an experience!

When I booked Mitra Hostel for my solo trip, I didn't know what to expect. Atleast I was expecting a comfortable stay, which one expects from any hostel/hotel. But Mitra Hostel gives you a lot more than that. It's a mix of modern and homely environment. The whole vibe of the house is very boho and feels like home. Atleast to me it did. During my stay which I kept extending and ended up staying for 9 days, I never felt I was in a hotel. The view from the hostel terrace is so spectacular, you would want to spend days just sitting there and do nothing. Just soak up the beautiful sight while sipping hot coffee. Coming to the staffs of this place, I would specially like to thank Parin (the manager/host) and Poorva (PR) for being so warm towards their guests. They are so friendly and fun to talk to. They arranged fun games and activities to entertain everyone which actually makes for memorable evenings from my trip. I have stayed at other, more popular hostels as well, and I can say one thing that because of such a welcoming and positive vibes of Mitra hostel, even the guests who check-in here are super friendly. I, for one, am definitely coming back to this place.

I recently stayed at Mitra hostel in Mcleodganj and had a fantastic experience as a solo traveler. The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. It is located at great spot and the rooms are clean. I would highly recommend it for the stay. And they have the cutest kitty in the house.

Amazing Stay at Mitra Hostel! I recently stayed at Mitra Hostel in McLeodganj for 17 days, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The hostel has a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to help with anything you need. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the main market, yet peaceful and surrounded by beautiful views of the mountains. The common areas are cozy and great for meeting fellow travelers, and the dormitory was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. A special thanks to Onkar, one of the volunteers, who went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. He guided me to the best local food spots and hidden gems around McLeodganj, and his recommendations were spot on!

I was supposed to stay for 2 nights but stayed 8. The hostel is clean, good location, nice mountain view from rooms and roof terrace, cosy communal area. People working here are very kind and helpful. Special thanks to Neema, Parin and Kenjal- running painting workshops. I would happily stay here again.
