Hotel Tokyo Vihar

We spent 3 weeks last winter in this hotel my mom and I. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty with fresh food. The room was clean, spacious, with hot water anytime you need. the Wifi was always good, I needed it for my job and I never had any problem with it. The laundry was perfect and quick. We really enjoyed to be well located in the town.

Our Group of travellers riding the motorbike through India spend two nights at this hotel- and what can i say? We arrived just before midnight due to delays on the road, the staff stayed up for us even kept the kitchen open so we could have a late late dinner. The Manager was superpersonable and helpful, when one of our bikes had an electrical issue he oversaw having it picked up and trucked while we already left. The rooms where clean and spacious, the batrooms particularly nice. The breakfast buffet was lovely (also they packed some breakfast for all of us, when we had to leave before their official ktichen timing) It might be true that the wifi works best in the lobby, but they definitely earn all stars, for friendlyness and willingness to go out of their way to help when its really called for!

The service was very good, they received us with a cold drink and our room was clean, plus the bathroom had an actual bath tub in it, which meant that we didn't have to flood the floor when taking a shower. The restaurant food was not good though, and the wifi didn't work from our room but only from the reception hall. The area is quite noisy at night so we didn't sleep too well.

The hotel is under new management and was such a great place to stay. The location, the personal service from all the staff was superb 5 star. Good internet, clean elegant rooms at a reasonable rate. I will stay again on my next trip to Bodhgaya and have no reservations about recommending this hotel to my friends or other travelers

It is located opposite to the Japanese temple. Location is not a problem but everything else is. Rooms are not properly maintained. Balcony was dirty as hell. Stagnant rain water along with tree leaves covered most of the balcony. Beds were not properly cleaned. I found hair left by the previous guest in the bed. Drawer was not cleaned. I found half eaten snacks packet in it. Bathroom was a mess in itself. Bathtub was dirty, tap near the toilet was not working, there were no exhaust fan. The ac in the room was a mess in itself. Its control panel was out of order, so temperature was constant and you can do nothing about it. There is no lift in the building. The walls of the building is decorated by moss and fungus due to water seepage. The intercom was out of order so everytime you need something you have travel from 2-3floor to the ground floor via the stair. Even after being in a tourist location they dont have card payment system which really sucks.

Stayed here for 3 nights with family. Decent place, mid-sized rooms with clean bathrooms, food was acceptable (no in-room service though). Wifi however was never available contrary to the claims of the management, who vehemently insisted that the problem was with my phone & tab. Turned out that none of the other guests staying in the hotel could access the wifi beyond the lobby!!!!! ||||Nothing much to write home about - guess most of the other hotels in Bodh Gaya are of the same standard. However, what left a bad taste in the mouth was the argument we had with the hotel staff at check-out - they claimed that they had not received the full payment (booking was made online via a 3rd-party website well in advance). We reasoned that this was not our fault and we had the vouchers to prove the facts. However, they insisted that we pay the shortfall, which we refused and what was a otherwise OK stay ended in a fracas.

Hotel is good. Rooms are clean, bed is okay. Management is opportunistic. They denied my online booking. Kitchen was close by 9:45. Negotiated with me for inclusion of breakfast. 2 starts are for property.

I my wife and my friend went to hotel Tokyo Vihar Gaya on 25 July and came on 26 july. Actualy adharcard of me and my wife left on the receptionist counter on the day of check in by mistake and one of the staff called on my mobile phone on 28july and he said sir we will send your adharcard through post on your address but till know I have not got. When I call them there is no response on there number. But the facilities were very nice and staffs were very co operative. I hope they will send me my uidai card. Thanks
