Leela Cottages

Visited in Oct 2024. The reviews were good but not the hotel ! Note that it is extra rustic. The garden and exterior of the cottages are poor. many roofs were broken and had plastic tied to prevent water seepage. Room and bathroom were clean but totally empty in terms of furniture and amenities. The dinning area - more of a canteen was run by some boys. Kitchen looked kinda make shift. Will give credit in cleanliness of room and bathroom. Beds were clean , linens absolutely white and clean. Bathroom was clean too.

We really enjoyed our stay and would like to return next year. There was major renovation in progress and that was a little inconvenient but it motivated us to explore the beach to find some very good restaurants close by. This will be a very beautiful property after the renovations. We loved the rustic quality of the rooms and the warmth of the staff.

Leela Cottages lived up to and exceeded my every expectation. I stayed there with my friend between 5-8th November and we had the best time. The staff were so lovely and accommodating, even let us borrow a local charger as our adaptor wasn't working. The service was impeccable as the staff would bring us drinks and snacks to our room. The easy access to the beach was also a huge drawcard. It was the perfect place to spend some time recuperating after a busy year, swimming twice daily and eating yummy food was exactly what the doctor ordered. The rooms and the property were a tropical paradise with gorgeous and simple decor and so many lush plants. 100% recommend and can't wait to go back.

Awesome property. Its built with a traditional look but their service is impeccable. Staff is very courteous and take great care of you. Their beachside spot is to die for! We spent hours there every night, just chilling under the stars, listening to music, and ordering food from their restaurant. Their restaurant food is also great in case you don't want to step out to eat. 10/10 would recommend.

The location was superb. And the service is also good but rooms are not OK. Rooms are large but not clean. All the chairs and sofas looks ancient. Layered with mud, clay and dust. Also rooms doesn't have a TV. And the drinking water they provided in the rooms is not good

We had an exceptional experience staying at Leela Cottages last December. The cottages are cute and comfortable and the premises peaceful and pristine, situated right on the beach. The sunsets from the back patio facing the ocean were magical against the backdrop of live sitar performances. The SERVICE was simply OUTSTANDING! We were three generations travelling (our toddler kid and our parents) and the team went out of their way to ensure every need of ours was met, whether it was preparing meals regularly without onion and garlic, playing our kid's favorite song during dinnertime or whether it was arranging medications when one of us got sick. Whatever it was, they had our backs. We got to know the staff members by name - Paritosh and Rahul, among others, who were exceptional. Our parents would only eat their meals at Leela Cottage because they trusted the staff there. Thank you for helping us create beautiful memories while making us feel supported and cared for during our stay!

Leela Cottages, located near Morjim Beach, offers a quiet, clean, and less crowded stretch of beach. However, the beach is rocky, making it unsuitable for water sports. While the resort’s online presence portrays a beautiful and relaxing destination, the reality fell short in several key areas. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us warmly, and the service was efficient—our luggage was promptly taken care of, and we were allocated decent rooms with basic amenities. However, things took a downturn from there. We had looked forward to dining at what was advertised as a beautiful beachfront restaurant, only to be informed that it was under renovation. Instead, we were offered a much smaller, poorly equipped kitchen with no tandoor available, limiting the menu significantly. The path to the beach was in poor condition—shabby, dirty, and unwelcoming. The beach loungers were stained with betel (pan) spit, and the stairway leading to the beach was filthy. Worse, this path could only be used until sunset, as there were no lights to guide the way after dark. Unlike neighboring beach resorts, which had well-lit beachfronts, Leela Cottages offered no lighting at all. On our second day, after deciding to cut our stay short and cancel the booking, the staff became uncooperative. Since we had made the full payment in advance, they seemed eager to have us leave as quickly as possible, showing little interest in resolving our concerns. Overall, our experience at Leela Cottages was disappointing, and I would not recommend it based on its current state.

THIS IS YOUR GARDEN PARADISE COTTAGE CORE AESTHETIC PLACE. Gardens and the cottages can be more decorated and polished to make it super class ! I loved the aura it has with the ancient sculptures and a very holy serene aura ! I loved the beach route part of its garden . Breakfast is good . THIS PLACE CAN BE YOUR WEDDING GARDEN MARRIAGE .
