The Woodpecker By The Beach

Fantastic location, right on the beautiful beach. Wonderful and very helpful staff. Nice little restaurant with decent food, nothing extraordinary for the price. We had a hiccup with the room, as booking.com had a wrong description of the room type, so if you're particular please double-check directly with the property. Rooms could do with an update, considering the rate - renovation is currently happening. A small fridge in the rooms would be great.

We stayed at Woodpegger by the beach , last weekend. The beach is very close by and I would say, that is the only advantage for the place. The wooden rooms are not maintained well . The a/c was leaking during all the 3 days of our stay. They kept giving excuses for not fixing it. We had to keep Buckets on the floor so that the water doesn’t spread in the room. The bathrooms Doesn’t have a place to hang clothes. Their restaurant service is very slow and pathetic too. We had to wait for almost 45 mins just for a cup of tea, and then we cancelled the order. The hand wash area near the restaurant is very dirty. They can do better. If the rooms are maintained properly and service is brought up.. the beach is clean and serene. And that would be the only plus point currently.

I recently spent a wonderful weekend at woodpegger , a beautiful sea-facing resort, during the monsoon season. The resort exceeded my expectations in many ways. The staff were warm and welcoming, the rooms were cozy and comfortable, and the food was delicious. The monsoon added a unique charm to the resort, with the sound of raindrops on the roof and the lush green surroundings. The resort's has own in house cafe bar and spa services !

We booked executive rooms online and reached the property. Rooms were not up to the mark (feels dark and could sense mold growth) and were pricey even during the off season (july). We checked the rooms and had few arguments with the supervisors and asked them to update the photos in MMT so that people should not feel they are fooled. Lastly the manager of the property asked us to call MMT customer care and cancel the booking. We did it and manager approved the full refund with MMT customer care. I would recommend only if you have not much options in that locality as this is beach side locality and you can chill at their restaurant while enjoying sunset. They have car parking but limited to few vehicles, for rest they offer valet parking and to get car one has to call it 15 minutes before getting the car. Overall average property.

We stayed at Woodpecker for 3 days. The place is bang on the beach. The rooms are spacious and wooden cottages where we stayed give a nice cosy feel. The cherry on top is the restaurant that serves delicious food along with the staff that is very helpful especially Sajal. The resort has a very chilled vibe and you can spend hours at Mandrem beach where this is located at. Thanks to Krishna as well for helping out at all times. Cheers

Right on the mandrem beach. Its a peaceful stay. The beach is unlike Baga, calangute. Its very peaceful, lot of surfing activities. The staff is good and the food is decent. The rooms are very affordable.

Had a great experience during the stay, people here are highly supportive and at your help always. The restaurant are definitely catches your eye. I would definitely suggest people to stay here
