Ri-dzong residency

Really nice hotel! I'm convinced that Hotel Dzong residency has the most amazing hospitality.... well kept friendly and helpful hotel staff. They are willing to come to your doorstep for anything you need, the place felt like home!

The only thing we liked about this place is the location where we could see mountains right opposite the stay. The rooms were not tidy and the pillow covers and bedsheets seemed like used ones. A lot of noise down outside the rooms where you see so many motorcycle guys checking their bike engine or repairing. Food was ok.

The location and rooms were good but the hotel staff was a cause of concern for us. Their behavior was not upto mark. And there was a sense of arrogance in the voice. As if they were doing a favour by answering our questions. Hospitality is something the staff needs to work on.

Location is bit far from market but still view from hotel room is beautiful. Food was good but besides fixed timing of food, they wer little cunning in providing and preparing your ordered food.

Pros: The location is excellent. ||Cons: Everything else.||To begin with Ri-dzong Hotel is next to a very popular hotel. So they get a few of leftover bookings of that hotel. ||There is no geyser, no room service, no solar power backup. For almost everything staff says upfront no under excuse that owner said no to morning tea. Owner said no to room service. Owner said no to power before real dark night.||Most of the staff is farm labor. They know nothing about hospitality and for trivial things they ask you question and humiliate you. For example since they don't have geyser, they do provide hot water by bucket in morning. Since they don't have intercom as well, you have to climb down two stairs, try to find out a staff - most of them never stay at reception. With lot of effort they bring half bucket of water. Now if you are four people, this is very little. You ask them more, they will argue why do you need to take bathe.||The hotel and staff really has lot issues. In friendly Himachal hills first time I ever saw such type of hospitality.

Good Rooms Lovely location as you can see snow peak mountains from room balcony Food was good, buffet options need to be increased and service needs to get better

I am staying in room no 108....the blankets are not clean.... bathroom has a window that has transparent window pane.....average hotel....hope the owners will improve their services

Awful place. Awful foods. Worst service. Owner is rudest to the power infinity. They've given a staff room to one of our co traveller and it was just next to the Common washrooms
