NillWith regards to My Booking, at Hotel anurag katra for three days (13.012025 to 16.01.2015) it is submitted that it was the worst experience I ever witnessed and I think of that time when I have decided to choose to do booking via Agoda.com and further to have done booking for Anurag hotel katra. With this regard I want to feel some worst part of my experience 1. After reaching katra I contacted Anurag hotel for sharing location, at the given number. After asking for location again and again Mr Varun, manager of Hotel, not only didn't share the same, and when I call him again Mr Varun says that "yatra Parchi ke pass tanki ke pass aa jao aur Mai abhi ladai ke mood me nahi hu." 2. After struggling and asking tons of people for the address, I reached the Hotel and asked the receptionist, Kunal, about such rude behaviour of Mr. Varun and asked him to provide the complaint register. But he totally refused to provide the complaint register and said "aapko checkin karna hai to karo per complaint register nahi mile ga." 3. Mr. Kunal arranged some calls to the higher authority of the hotel, but none of them was ready to accept the rude behaviour of staff and provide complaint register. They just kept on calling their senior who further called his senior but not one response was justified. 4. At last all of them said that "tere pe jo Hota ho karle na to hum tujhe checkin karaega aur na hi refund denge". 5. Furthermore, one of the conditions of my booking is car parking, but on hotel premises I saw that parking is in an open ground and at the owner's risk. No responsibility of the hotel or its staff for guest car. 6. Also, the booking charges are deducted from my account twice! How is this secure? 7. Not only are they violating the terms and conditions of booking but also lack the basic ethics for running a hotel. They didn't have any complaint register, staff had very rude & argumentative behaviour, no clearly stated authority and responsibility, violation of terms and conditions for booking, money deducted twice from my account, and this was all on day 0 of my booking god knows what they would do in the next 3 days. We did not stay at that hotel and left immediately facing such rash behaviour as we did not travel for 15 hours to witness this and they denied any refund. What is the purpose of running a hotel at such a holy place where pilgrims from all over the globe come to worship if you do not even care. Huge disappointment.

NillI recently stayed at Hotel Anurag, Katra, booking two quad family rooms for my trip. Here’s an honest review of my experience: POSITIVES: Location Advantage: The hotel is conveniently located close to the Katra main market and directly opposite Counter No. 2, which makes it very easy to get the RFID card for the Vaishno Devi yatra. Nearby Amenities: There are plenty of good eating options in the vicinity, adding to the convenience for travelers. NEGATIVES: Cleanliness & Hygiene Issues: This was the biggest disappointment. The hotel was not well-maintained, with dirty surroundings near the bus stand contributing to a foul smell around the area. Room Condition: The walls in the room were damp, and when I requested a room change, I was refused despite booking 45 days in advance and specifically requesting better rooms. Unclean Interiors: Bedsheets were stained, the floor wasn’t clean, and basic amenities like water bottles weren’t provided until I specifically asked the receptionist. Hot Water Problems: The geyser in the washroom wasn’t functioning properly, and I had to call housekeeping multiple times to address the issue. Mosquito Menace: There were mosquitoes in the room. When I asked for a mosquito repellent, they offered a coil but didn’t provide a stand for it. I eventually had to buy mosquito incense sticks from the local market. Lack of Responsiveness: The staff didn’t seem inclined to address concerns. Complaints were brushed off, and there was little effort to resolve issues. Overall Experience: The stay was far from value for money. Despite the location being a significant advantage, the lack of cleanliness, poor service, and subpar room conditions overshadowed it. There are undoubtedly better options available in Katra for a similar price range. I would recommend exploring other accommodations for a more comfortable stay.

NillThe hotel is in the middle of a bus stand. So the area is a bit congested. It's at the entrance of the Katra market. This is also close to the entrance of Vaishnodevi temple trek. The entrance of the hotel smells like public urinal. The inside of the hotel is fine. The bedroom is decent. Can be cleaner. Bathroom is mostly clean. The food at the restaurant was ok.

NillIf u r coming by bus then private bus will drop u before katra bus stand. So need to pay 200 rs per auto till hotel Location is near the entrance point to mata jee trek (again need auto but hitel owner arranges the same) Everyone around the location including the staff is very supportive

NillRecently we stayed in this hotel. Not recommending this hotel for stay. Very poor in all aspects like location, room cleanness, bad interiors, irresponsible staff's & management. No value for the money.
