Hotel Chinar

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Hotel Chinar during my recent stay. Despite booking three rooms, the service and amenities fell far below basic expectations. Here’s a detailed account of the issues faced: 1. Payment Inconvenience: The hotel insisted on cash payments only, which is highly unprofessional in today’s world where digital transactions like UPI or credit card payments are standard. This created unnecessary hassle for us. 2. Lack of Basic Amenities: There were no dry towels provided, which is unacceptable, especially in the cold winter season. Furthermore, no water bottles were available in the rooms, forcing us to arrange for our own drinking water. 3. Unresponsive Staff: The reception was often unattended, leaving us with no one to address our queries or requests. Also, the staff was incredibly unresponsive and unprofessional. Most of them seemed more interested in taking naps near the heater than attending to guests' needs. This level of service is inexcusable for any hospitality establishment. The experience was frustrating and left a bad impression of the hotel. I would strongly recommend avoiding Hotel Chinar.

Rooms are neat &clean and staff is really cooperating ,u can give it try without doubting. If anyhow your checkout is delayed ,they gonna help you out with that too without any extra charges.

Located at the heart of katra city, everything is at walkable distance. Delectable and delicious food in their Madhuban restaurant. Clean and spacious rooms with great interior. Courteous staff. Highly recommended.

Worst stay ever.. the hotel staff is soo soo rude and so fake.. We had booked rooms for 3 days.. 1 day double bed rooms and 2 days triple bedroom but when we go for checkin they denied that we only have double bed rooms if you want to stay stay otherwise leave.. Majboori me le lia and next day jb thoda jhagda hua to bole room Khali kro and niklo.. I recommend not to book this hotel. The hotel manager Sunil is also very rude and misbehaved with people's.

Had a great experience there! The staff was very polite and our room was in very well condition. I usually don't give reviews but this time I had to as I lost my bag in the Cab but the CHINAR HOTEL MANAGER - SUNIL DUTT helped us to find that. Such a humble n kind person. ... JAI MATA DI

Hotel Chinar is one of the most reputed properties at Katra. I had the opportunity of staying at this boutique property last week and need I say how humble and warm the hotel staff is! Every minor thing was taken good care of, by the staff, while I stayed at the property. Special mention to Mr Sunil Dubey, the manager at the hotel, extremely helpful person. Guys, I highly recommend staying at Hotel Chinar while you're visiting Katra, Maa Vaishno Devi.

Newly renovated property. Located very close to Katra Main Market. Clean and spacious rooms. Polite staff. Amazing food. Overall a very pleasant experience. Highly recommended.
