New Heaven Canal Guest House

One of the worst hotels I've been in. The rooms are damp and Dirty. Most of the times there is no electricity. The 2nd floor ground is not strong and very unsafe. Anyone walking there literally shakes the whole floor. People in 1st floor can't sleep at night because of this. There are no bed heaters even when the temperature is 5 degrees and when asked, they just tell that it's not very cold. There were no geysers and the steamer had to be turned on every time to get hot water. There was no hot water to drink either. The room we stayed in, had a window pane not working. Because of this, we had cold wind coming in throughout the night and we caught a cold. There was also a steamer right outside our window and the smoke came in and we had to evacuate the room whenever the steamer was turned on. Despite complaining about all these things, the hotel staff just kept saying that "these are not really problems" and they did not move us to a different room. I really don't know how people gave a 5⭐ to this hotel, but I'll suggest people who value their health and comfort, please stay away from this hotel.

Lovely hosts and the area is beautiful. It's nice that it's away from the main road, quiet.and the rooms are clean and comfortable ❣️

The location was not worth for vehicles as the hotel is situated far from road Further entire bed and mattress was seems like 100 years old Washroom was not clean. Smoking smell was around rooms . Light issue (not a single tube light was there) while using inverter only one small light work The staff was nice and cooperative.

Basic Budget Stay with Some Drawback Review We recently stayed at the New Heaven Canal hotel during the winter season, and while it was a budget-friendly option, there were some drawbacks to our experience. The electric heater blankets provided took around 30 minutes to heat up, and the heaters for bathing also took a considerable amount of time. However, once adjusted, they did provide adequate warmth. The staff was cordial and helped us where necessary, and the rooms were clean, but they were very basic and lacked ambiance. Unfortunately, there were no generators for power failures, which was a significant issue during the snow season and extreme cold. Overall, I believe the New Heaven Canal hotel would be a better option during the summer months, but for a budget-friendly stay in the winter, it serves its purpose.

Good hospitality! Good location! javed was a good host and kind at heart. He very much devote himself to the tourism of Kashmir and would recommend the best way to see srinagar that is on your budget. He was showing us around the city and in the end even took me to bus stand. That was really kind of him. He’s the one who made my staying in Srinagar more memorable. Thanks a lot Javed!!

One of the worst experience anyone could ever have interms of safety and service from the owner Mr. Javed He was barking like a dog at 12.30am midnight on guest door for one day delay in day's payment when guest have informed him the stay for 20 days. The cheapest hotel of srinagar in all sense. Highly recommended to not stay at new heaven canal and ruin your wonderful srinagar trip for some bucks.

I was Staying in this Property for two days in last week ,it's really low cost and very good property facing lake,it's amazing time,even they arranged Shikara and local visits too in budget,Surely can visit stay there a s Enjoy ur Srinagar visit.100 percentage very nice place
