The neatness of houseboat is good. But, food is not worthy. And the character of the owner is very bad. My experience with him - One hour shikkara ride was included in my package. So, I’ve requested extra one hour and he charged Rs.1300 for one hour and I've paid that. But he took us just 70 minutes total and came back to room. His justification was, there is drizzling at that time. And the main thing is, later he asked Rs.800 to the tour company for my extra one hour shikkara 😁😂. He told them, I’ve not paid that amount.🤭

It’s in very crowded area. The rooms are very small.the most important thing is the rude behaviour of the owner.As mission Kashmir was shot there, he thinks himself in the seven heaven.It was a nightmare to stay there. Even the owners wife was rude. Not recommended at all.

Not an overall good experience. The rooms were good but service was severely bad. Food was not at all good, below average. Suffered from food poisoning. On the good side beds were nice for sleeping.

The house boats on Dal lake are like any other hotels once you are in your room as it does not move from it's place. So, I would recommend to take a proper hotel outside the lake and only do the Shikara ride on the lake. Riding on Shikara really feels good.

Best experience of life is to reside on a house boat if you love nature and personal space .food is very simple .Every time you need to pay for boat if you wanna go outside of Dal lake .No TV but Wi-Fi is available. Overall good experience.
