Light House Premium Houseboats by Club Mahindra

Stayed at Light House Houseboat, Dal Lake (Ghat No.17) — a great experience overall. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner had a fresh, homely taste. The owner was friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better. Also want to appreciate Javed from Club Mahindra, who was helpful and responsive throughout our stay. That said, I’m cutting 1 star mainly due to Club Mahindra's lack of basic service standards. For toiletries, they only provided a ₹2 shampoo pouch and a ₹3 soap — I had to buy proper soap myself. Also, the to-and-fro shikara ride is only free for two trips or until 8 PM — after that, you have to pay extra, which feels unfair, especially after dinner when it's normal to return late. Being a Club Mahindra member and paying heavy maintenance, this kind of cost-cutting is disappointing. The houseboat experience was great, but the brand needs to offer better service to its members.

The houseboat located on Daal Lake gives the best backdrop for photographs. It was a wonderful experience at Daal Lake. It is the ideal place to stay in Dal Lake.

The stay at Kyber houseboat was comfortable! We had heating whole night and hot water available full time. Breakfast was very nice simple homemade tasty food! Rooms were clean.. Dal lake was so cold and beautiful and view from the houseboat was very good! The manager Ashiq was very considerate and asked for our comforts.

It was a very comfortable stay. The heaters were working well, there was 24 hrs water supply and the breakfast was also good. The room is well equipped and kept us warm through the cold night at Dal lake. The management looked well after us. Thank you

We had a very good stay at Khyber house boat!! Aashiq took care of us nicely!!. He is very good and arranged a good breakfast. Difinetly recommend the stay. The dal lake is also very beautiful and view is awesome!! …....…....................

We arrived at the houseboat around 9:30 PM when the temperature was close to 0°C. Despite the late hour and chilly weather, the staff had thoughtfully kept the room warm with heaters, ensuring a cozy and welcoming stay.||The houseboat is beautifully crafted with wooden interiors, clean, and well-maintained. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, offering a comforting, homemade taste that enhanced the overall experience.||A special mention to the supervisor, Ashiq, who was extremely friendly and went out of his way to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.||The highlight was the stunning morning sunrise view, which was simply breathtaking and made our stay even more special.||Highly recommended for anyone seeking a warm, comfortable, and memorable houseboat experience!

We stayed here for a night. Mr.Ashiq was our host - very hospitable and friendly. The stay was good and we thoroughly enjoyed. The houseboat is well maintained, clean & tidy. The food served was to our choice and liking. Best wishes to the team.

Had a great stay , accommodative and friendly hosts . My first time in Kashmir they made it memorable. It was only a days stay but well worth it ……… The lake ride was enjoyable, but don’t do it in the day …. Evenings are a better option as the sun was too hot. The rides should be longer……
