OYO 38212 Sandhya Lodge

Worst Experience! After this I started hating OYO to next level. Story begins like this:- I reached hotel around 11:45 PM, Hotelier denied check-in because I booked through OYO and paid the hotel fare online. I called OYO for resolution (thankfully the call connected soon) but for escalation there is a huge queue at this hour also. Hotelier started telling me how OYO is not paying their dues and irritating them (he had some 8 lakhs due itseems). Finally OYO escalation manager spoke with hotelier and adjusted the difference amount in Customer App and Hotelier App after a small verbal fight. After that also hotelier asked for more money for extra person in a room, even though I selected 5 adults for 2 rooms as per OYO app. I denied to pay anything extra. Then again I had to call OYO and then OYO spoke with hotelier and said we will shift the guests to some other OYO nearby and we were waiting and waiting for nearly 25 mins the call got disconnected automatically. Again we called now there is a technical glitch 2 customers and 2 agents calls got merged and we were talking in a confused manner. In this confusion OYO executive had cancelled my booking by mistakenly and hotelier refused check-in at this odd hour. Now we had to book the hotel manually. It's a very old lodge, entry is from a cafe which is below the lodge, lift is in a very bad condition, bed linens are very bad/dusty. Towels provided are having brownish marks. Water bottles are provided for extra cost, Bathrooms are not good (doesn't have a hanger also). Hot water is provided (Water Heater Coil) but who will ask for every bucket, Reception looks like a scary dump yard where all towels, bed linens are dumped, there is no fan in the reception during my whole initial story with OYO (I was sweating very badly). We were just waiting for the morning to leave the hotel. If you are going with your female friends or having a family with you. I don't recommend this lodge.

Initially I have booked OYO 29159 Varsha Boarding And Lodging. Later Oyo sent me message that ur booking was shifted to this OYO 38212 Sandhya Lodge due to unavoidable circumstances. I didn't know what was happened between Oyo and Varsha Boarding. This is 1st Mistake by OYO Then comes 2nd regarding Oyo 38212 Sandhya Lodge. 1. Receptionist will not allow check in unless guests are paying Total room rent of ₹1000/- 2. Suppose guest paid ₹600 in Oyo online booking, again one needs to pay difference of ₹400 during check in. 3. No Hot water facility in Bathroom. They will manage this by coil and will give 1 bucket of warm water during rush hour but u need to be patient. It will take time. 4. Suppose guest paid their room rent along with breakfast (₹50 per person) hotel will treat guest as beggars as if they are providing complementary breakfast. Only 2 idlis are served, no vada nothing else..I have never seen such a poor hotel in my life. 5. No GST bill on extra or difference amount u are paying. 6. Very far from Udupi Sri Krishna temple or Manipal. 7. There are good lodges located near Bus Stand or Near Srikrisha Mutt/temple. 8. Rude behavior by receptionist. Money minded person. 9. ₹1000 is more for pathetic services, far located, less assured Oyo Lodge. It is not qualified for Spot On category of Oyo. 10. Don't go for Oyo online booking. Ur booking will not be confirmed for the amount u have paid, u will face lot of inconvenience, hiccups, surprises during ur check in.

Hotel management didn't allowed me to check in unless paying Total room rent of ₹1000/- even if you booked through OYO.I paid ₹600 in Oyo online booking, again they demanded me to pay difference of ₹400 during check in. No Hot water facility in Bathroom. They will manage this by coil and will give 1 bucket of warm water during rush hour but u need to be patient. It will take time.They asked 20 rupees for hot water bucket.very cheap behavior and more money minded. I booked AC Room in online but they provided NON AC room and they said rudely if you want AC Room you need to pay extra 400 rupees. Bad experience with this Sandhya lodge.

Horrible experience..reached at 10:30 pm around August. Hotel management didn't allowed me to check in even though i booked through OYO. Kept arguing that OYO wrongly put up that price and it was the price for a Non AC room without breakfast. As it was night and we were 2 female from out of town..we didn't have any options..so we paid extra for AC room. They flatly refused to check us in through OYO. No official room service number or help desk but gave the desk attendant number who was very cheap guy and started sending friend request to us on Facebook and started whatsapping us. Whole night because of the rains there was no electricity and hotel didn't have any back up generator also. OYO didn't help at all..they claimed that since u booked directly we can't so anything now. No Hot water facility in Bathroom. They will manage this by coil and will give 1 bucket of warm water during rush hour. It will take time. very cheap behavior and more money minded. Bad experience with this Sandhya lodge. We only stayed for 1 night even though we were booked for 6 and shifted as soon as possible..it's not worth even the less amount they charge. Deleted OYO app the next morning itself

Very bad experience. Hotel staff fully focussed on grabbing money by providing poor service. Rooms are not maintained well. We booked using OYO expecting little standards which are not maintained at all. Washrooms are not good at all.

Good place, but don't pay the amount in the Oyo while booking, they are not accepting paid bookings. We faced a issue over there. Oyo is so irresponsible towards their property managers, they haven't paid then on time, as per the hotel receptionist they have a overdue of 8 Lakh rs from Oyo. You may face some problem if you pay in the app, select the pay at hotel option

Place is good for the rent they charge. You got a veg hotel attached to the lodge. Also a bat and restaurant in the same complex. So you don't have to walk much for food. NonAc were 700 for 2 guests and 1000 for AC.

Decent accomodation. But feels quite shady and unsafe. A little away from the centre of manipal. Okayish for a guy to stay alone. Not much in the name of facilities. Would avoid
