Hotel Rio Meridian

I recently stayed at Rio Meridian Hotel, Mysore with my family. We booked 2 rooms, and the stay was quite comfortable. The rooms were good and even had a connecting option, which was new to me and very convenient. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. I interacted with the chef, who was from Erode, Tamil Nadu, and he took great care to make sure everything was well-prepared and enjoyable. Truly appreciated his service. The food overall was okay, nothing exceptional beyond breakfast. One evening, we planned to have some beer and visited the bar, but it wasn’t up to the mark. Instead, we chose to sit near the pool and enjoy our drinks. However, the biggest disappointment came when I visited the restroom near the swimming pool. It seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned for years, and the condition was extremely poor. After seeing that, I completely lost my appetite—it was honestly a very unpleasant experience. The management really needs to focus on cleanliness, especially in common areas like restrooms. While the rooms and breakfast were nice, such negligence leaves a bad impression on guests.

It is a very nice hotel. Every staff member is very polite and courteous, and the management is excellent. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the people serving food were very warm and kind. Since it was my husband’s birthday, we requested a cake at the last moment. The staff not only arranged a complimentary cake but also decorated the cake table beautifully, which made the celebration even more special. Thank you so much for everything! The hotel is located very close to Mysore Palace, and Mysore is truly a wonderful place — the area, the zoo, and the market are all very nearby and easily accessible.

We recently spent 2 days at this hotel in Mysore and had a wonderful experience. The staff were extremely courteous and well-behaved, providing excellent service throughout our stay. The room service was prompt and efficient, and the rooms were well-maintained with a high level of neatness. The buffet breakfast was impressive, offering a wide range of options. Overall, considering the quality of service and amenities, we felt it was worth the price. A great stay in Mysore!

I recently stayed at this hotel and here’s what I observed. For dinner, most of the dishes were vegetarian, with only two non-veg options available. As I am not a vegetarian, I was not fully satisfied with the dinner. The room also looked quite old and did not feel very comfortable when I first entered. On the positive side, the breakfast was really good with plenty of variety. Most importantly, the staff—including the waitresses(N.B) and the front desk team—were extremely polite, genuine, and helpful. Their warm behavior and gestures were the highlight of my stay. Overall, my experience was mixed. I truly appreciated the service and hospitality, but the room condition and limited non-veg options for dinner were disappointing. However, if you are a vegetarian, you will probably enjoy the food here a lot more.

I had a truly delightful stay at this hotel. The room was spotless, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The food was outstanding — fresh, delicious, and served with great presentation, offering a wonderful variety to suit all tastes. One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service provided by Ayan. He was attentive, polite, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. His professionalism and friendly nature made me feel valued as a guest. Ayan, dedication and hospitality truly enhanced my overall experience. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and care.

Excellent !!!! Just one word to explain everything. Very very pleasant stay along with my family and with 80 years old mother-in-law . She was also also happy with the hospitality of the hotel. Management ,Restaurant staff are very polite . Even the persons who helps in bringing stuff from car to hotel room were also very nice and kind and helped for everything. Food is excellent .parking is awesome. I must thank the hotel management for making my birthday memorable.

The rooms and food were good but the managment were terrible. Horrible. I am keeping the 3 start just for the food or else this hotel deserves a 1. I had asked them to clean our rooms since the mornings and it's the night now and they still haven't cleaned it. They say they forgot about it because it wasn't serious. I asked for a pillow since we were low on them and he didn't give it. We had to sleep without a pillow.

This is no longer the old Rio meridian.. This was my goto hotel 5yrs back, and i assumed it will have its same charm now and booked.. but it was utter disappointment.. Cleanliness is zero, The UG car parking doesnt have a lift, u need to climb 2 floors up for reaching the lobby. Later i parked near the ramp which was stinky.. The main reception lobby is full of House Flies.. Coming to the Room, the bathroom is like 1*, and the room ambience is 2* and most of the stuff doesnt work inside the room.. The oly good part was B.fast which was decent..
