Green House Chinnakanal

hotel situated in a mountain place called power house - chinakanal. it`s an hour 15 mn drive from munnar. the surrounding of the hotel leaves a bit to be desired but for 2 nights, it`s ok. the delux room is a good one, bed is somehow confortable. forget about the tv channels : they are all indian. Indian brealfast is somehow spicy and strong but you can survive as my friend and i did. Munnar and its suburbds are so greeny, so beautiful, so breath-taking. so, put up with the less comfort you`ll ome across and enjoy the beauty of the nature of Munnar.

We booked this resort via AGODA website and had booked tree house for 2 days. The day we reached there it was confirmed that the tree house was booked by someone else and therefore we got upgraded to the Suit room , which sounded okay for us , however the second day we were provided with tree house.||||The property has approx 10 rooms or so in total. There is a room boy who would be willing to get things for you from outside and if the cook is available , then you have chances to get food cooked by the folks in the resort itself.||||At early morning, the chances of this one room boy to get busy are extremely high and therefore its better to pre-order whatever want along with the times , one day prior so that you don't have to end up waiting.||||On the other hand , there are average restaurants available outside , therefore if you don't mind a 5 minutes walk early in the morning to have a bed coffee , please do so as this might be much faster.||||Distance wise , Munnar town would be 21 kms from this property. The Top point would be approximately 1 hour 30 mins drive from this location. Chinnakanal is the location of this property. If you are travelling directly to the resort , I would recommend you search for Chinnakkanal is GPS and make your way directly to the resort , rather than reaching Munnar and then travelling to the resort , which could be another 21 kms drive. ||||Even though the distance between Munnar and Chinnakkanal is 21 kms , the travelling time is worth it and you could see lot of breath taking views / waterfalls etc on your way.

Only the room was neat. Considering the other points, the hotel is worth rating less than one.||Listing the negative points||1) Wifi was not available||2) The Manager says 24 hours hot water is available , but we could hardly get only one bucket of water||3) There were tiny cockroaches in the room||4) The bathroom was very small, and it was very difficult for elderly people to use.||5) There is no proper staff for attending to our requests||6) The hotel did not provide any amenities like towels, Paste, soaps||7) Although Make my trip promised free breakfast, the hotel does not have a restaurant.||They give option to have breakfast in the opposite restaurant which is of very poor quality||8) There is no parking facility, the car has to be parked on the road and the hotel management does not provide any safe place for parking||9) The overall ambience is very bad||10) There was no phone charging points in the room, the door lock was of poor quality that we had a hard time to get the door locked.||11) The staff was not polite enough to apologise for providing a bad room||12) During our stay, there was another guest who was arguing for some lack of facilities|| Overall it is not even worth for 25% of the money we pay.

I stayed in Green carpet for 1 day. I booked 2 Super deluxe rooms and the rooms are so small. I service by the hotel is 'ok'. I booked a innova for 3 days from the same hotel and the service from the travel desk from this hotel is pathetic. The driver is so bad that he dint even take care of the passengers. We got severe headache for all our friends.||I can say Please don't go.

Rooms are good, service is good. Nice Owner and Manager. If you received a good discount recommended to take this. Though you donot have food available in the evening but you can get food in the near by.|
