Hotel Udipi Anantha Bhavan

I recently had an awful experience at this hotel, and I feel compelled to share it to warn others. The cleanliness was absolutely terrible; the room and common areas were dirty and clearly not maintained, making it an uncomfortable place to stay. To make matters worse, the receptionist was extremely rude and displayed blatant racist behavior, which made the entire situation even more distressing. Despite having a reservation, they refused to give me a room for the night, leaving me stranded. This level of unprofessionalism and discrimination is unacceptable. I would definitely not recommend anyone to stay here. Honestly, you're better off sleeping on the streets than spending a night at this place. It was an appalling experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Absolutely terrible experience! The staff was extremely rude and had no sense of customer service. We were treated as if we were a burden rather than paying customers. The food took just a minute to arrive, and when it did, it was cold and tasteless. When we complained, the staff was even worse—completely dismissive and unapologetic. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being disrespected 👎

I recently visited the Udupi Anantha Bhavan on MG Road, Kochi. We ordered the ghee roast and masala dosa, both of which were delicious. However, I was disappointed to notice a decline in hygiene standards compared to our previous visits. Notably, the restaurant, which was usually crowded during our past visits, was surprisingly empty this time. The service was good, but the wash area and dining area lacked cleanliness. Overall, it was an average experience.

I recently visited Udipi Ananda Bhavan, a vegetarian restaurant. Tasty Food, but Poor Staff Behavior and Hygiene. A wide variety of vegetarian dishes available. The staff's behavior was unfriendly and uncooperative. The staff's personal hygiene was concerning, and the washbasin area was not clean.

I had a terrible experience at Udipi Anantha Bhavan. From the moment we arrived, things went downhill fast. The receptionist was extremely rude and unprofessional. We politely asked if we could pay half the amount at check-in and the rest at check-out, and instead of a reasonable response, he started shouting and even threw the money back at us. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and left us feeling shocked and uncomfortable. The room itself was no better—there was a strong, unpleasant smell, and no blankets were provided. It was a very disappointing stay overall. I highly recommend looking for other accommodation options if you’re considering this place. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else.

We had breakfast in this place few days back. In breakfast they had very limited options but the foods they served was very tasty indeed. We had masala dosa and coffee. Price was also very reasonable and quantity also very good. They served very quickly as the staff were very good and friendly. Environment of the eating place was also family friendly as you can take your family easily to there and have a meal any time. I don't know about the stay as I haven't stayed there. This review us only for the eating place of them.
