OYO Hotel Chandrika Residency

We got a great deal at the hotel via OYO. The room is decent size and and reasonably clean. Bathrooms are good size (not cramped). Staff is courteous and reasonably helpful. The only thing which I did not like was the staff checking feedback for my last OYO stay. :)||||And the location, its absolutely perfect, a 10 minute walk from Laser show, Subhash Park and 20 minutes walk from Marine drive. Govt jetty point to Fort Kochi is also 10 minutes walk away. Overall, great experience

Since our train was late due to monsoon, we reached Ernakulam late in the early morning hours. But the staff was promptly waiting for us. With a knock at the door, he got us inside and guide us to our room. Room was very comfortable. Hot water was provided. And the food served was very tasty. Manager and the entire staff were very friendly and helping. Next time we will surely stay at Chandrika Residency only. Will also recommed our friends and relatives to Chandrika. Its only a walkable distance to MG road and South Railway station. Thanks to Cleartrip. May God bless you all. || |

We found this hotel wen we were in search of a decent hotel for a family at ernakulam to stay for a night. All other hotels nearby, were either full or were struck with 12 noon check-in policy. Room rates are quite affordable but in our case, We had to pay for a full day though we stayed for less than 10 hrs. As we stayed there by Sep, the hotel was almost empty and not more than 2-3 double-bed rooms were occupied.||Room service was much better and the rooms were clean. Overall, this shd be a wise choice if u r looking for an affordable hotel at ernakulam and are not much worried about other facilities like parking, WiFi etc.||||||Ernakulam to fort kochi jetty, rly station, ernakulathappan temple and marine drive are well reachable from this hotel.

Hotel rooms were not very spacious very small room. And cigarettes smell was coming too much. We booked via oyo and after going there they denied saying that 3 people can share room only if all are same gender. I don't know why but everywhere in kerela this rule was there. But anyhow we didn't like the room so we did not check in.

I stayed for 1 night with my family as had a late night flight from Kochi. You get what you pay for so don’t expect luxury. Good for overnight stay if you want to be close to city and jetty at very low prices. Much better options available if you want to spend a little more.||Pros:|- Located at 10 mins walking distance from MG road and jetty|- 2 restaurants located just outside the hotel|- budget friendly||Cons:|- Old property so you get that old feel from lift, building, rooms and bathroom|- Linens were dirty and stained. Might not have been changed after last guest checked out|- Water jug and glasses were dirty so ordered packaged water

On August 29 & 30, 2014 on my college tour we stayed in this hotel. Rooms are good and cleaniness. Room service was nice and staffs are very friendly. But there is no facility of parking in hotel premises and we have to move on some other private parking in nearby area. Overall hotel was good and I recommend this hotel to all my friends.

Overall, the experience was ok here. The room was not that good. I found hair and dirt in bed and the washroom wasn't cleaned very well. Everything else was ok; the room maintainability is poor. Food is not available in the hotel, but there's a nearby restaurant to order from.

Nice experience , well cleaned room and bigger bathroom full time we got Hotwater , AC was new bt they had set temperature manually 18 degree. Friendly staffs. And food service was bad.they take more time than Zomato deliveries. Bt all other facilities was good. I ll give 4 out of 5.
